did you get out of your PJ's yesterday?

I didn't. Baked bread, the old fashioned way, no bread machine, and tidied up in the kitchen.

Other than that, I spent a lot of time on the puter, and in front of the TV.

I did however knit a bunch of dish rags. :)

Moni... busy today, already have the first load of laundry on the line.

PS, uh, oh, I forgot.... I also packed my meds in to tiny ziplock bags for my two trips coming up. :)

He!!, yes. I slept in my clothes and got up at daylight.
(Really, I did. I have 25 baby squirrels that get me out of bed at the crack of dawn.)

I got up, showered and put on some "slouch" clothes. Allergies kicked my "bootie" yesterday. Took a looooong nap.

To say she doesn't like me is like saying cayenne pepper is a bit warming. But nobody will admit it. When we first got there, three seats were left at the table. I got DD situated in one, DH sat in the other. As I was taking off my coat, she went around and grabbed other coats and piled them on the seat that was left. Hmmmmm. Could that be a sign? Ok, here I go - - my goal for the year 2008 is to quilt the tops I made in the years 2004 and 2005 - that is, if you consider tops as UFOs - after all, they aren't really quilts yet, and I do intend to finish them into quilts, bound labeled and done. That would involve 14 tops. Then we have the years 2006 and 2007 - another 13 or so. They'll hopefully get done in 2009. Assuming I don't add too many to the pile of 2008 quilts (two tops so far - I'm really trying NOT to finish current projects until I get a little caught up). WIPs are another thing altogether. I think I have about 10 of those but they don't bother me as much as the tops - gotta have some on-going projects! And, Kathi - I also have several cross-stitch projects. I'd really like to get that Marilyn Leavitt-Inblum (sp?) Santa done! So far, it's about a 5-year project going on 6.

Can't play the piano - had a sax when a youth: it was left in Korea with the local university. Not so hot at cooking - but have a bit of a pot that I carry around with me. Have weeds in the garden that are darn near as tall as I am. My little Mazda is almost 24 years old ... it's been running pretty well, but was sluggish a couple of weeks ago and left me on the road one night - scarcely crossed a road after "STOP" sign, then died and wouldn't start. Hitch-hiked home - a relative picked me up, then back in the morning, car started right off ... barely ran for a couple of minutes, then faded out. They towed it in, it was firing late (they'd figutred that a few days before when I took it in) and using gas like crazy. They'd thought that it needed computer upgrading/repairs ... ... but after they towed it in, adjusted the timing belt, and it's running fine. Stick shift lets me turn it off when a signal light goes yellow, half a block ahead ... and down hills (if there's no one running up my tailpipe). Darn them small cars! When one goes shopping, they seem to have a habit of hiding in behind the big ones! That's about all of the foibles that I'm willing to admit to in public. ole joyfuelled

Confession time - Has Anyone Else Ever Sewn Pins into Quilts?

OMG I almost cried. I thought I have to tell the Dad in case they go thru airport metal detectors, & even if the pins are closed, the 1st time Dad will likely worry for his baby boy. A week later I was at my LQS for replacement rotary blades & ran into one of the shop owners. She's a long time quilter, fellow alum of Textile School. We looked at it together & she suggested several spots where she thought I could open a seam to get the pins w/ minimal damage. So that gave me courage & determination, I HAD to take them out! I came home & ending up picking out 1 seam 2" long, & was able to grab out the 2 safety pins (I'd used to center the sandwich layers). I am sooo relieved, I was afraid I'd have to cut it. This is a small seam I can hand stitch back up & even go over w/ machine. Am so glad I thought to ask Andrea, Hooorayyyy.

I did, it's hard to split wood in your jammies! lol I love pajamas, though, they are so comfortable.

(I kind of wish I had a baby squirrel!)

If I stayed in my jammies I'd get nothing done. I can't even accomplish anything in my slippers! I don't know what this says about me. But yes, I got showered and dressed, and later went to my daughter's house for dinner.

Yes I got dressed.

I've been into "walking" since June. I really enjoy it.
My neighbor has a bad knee, but we managed about 4.2 miles
yesterday afternoon.

Nope.....it rained in the morning and I didn't have to go out at all. I knew the kids weren't coming over so I got out all of my scrapbooking stuff and worked on the boys scrapbooks and got a start making my Christmas cards. My neighbor needed help with a scrapbooking computer program so I even wore my jammies to go help her out!

I got dressed, went to church, then went to where the Junior class was selling bbq plates to make money for the 2009 prom. Then went home and stayed there the rest of the day. It was a beautiful day.

The only time I stay in pj's all day is when I feel too bad to get dressed.

Yep me too. I de-cluttered all day and had 4 bags of trash and one bag for Goodwill. I hate that job but feel so much better afterwards. I don't understand why I feel I need to keep everything because someday I might need it. If I don't know where it is I might as well not keep it.

Oh how I wish!!! I woke up really achy and would have loved to hang out on the couch all day. We had things to do in Ames, so I figured if I got going I would feel better. Did get some Christmas gifts and found other things....so that was great!

Got home and took a great nap...until we got a political call - SURPRISE -! "/ Did some laundry and got the worst back ache!!! Didn't matter what I did, it was just killing me! Couldn't understand what I had done to my back, when suddenly...I got a familiar 'twinge' and realized it was another darn kidney stone moving!!!!! ARGH The back ache was higher than 'normal'. Finally the pills kicked in and I went to bed. Just achy again this morning. So, who knows when it will decide to move and HOPEFULLY make its appearance in my Very clean toilet (I always make sure and clean MY toilet so if I pass one, I can go for it...yes, I generally save them to pass onto the Dr. when I see her...this one will be #20!!)

Ouch! So sorry to hear about the kidney stone, Sandy. You and Dean were in my thoughts all day yesterday. Yes, I got dressed. I did some laundry and put a pork loin on the smoker! YUMMY!!!!!! Can you tell why you were in my thoughts? Dean made a great loin on the smoker when we stopped in the end of Sept, for those of you who didn't get to taste it.

It rained all day yesterday. We slept in (really enjoyed and needed the extra hour from the end of Daylight Saving Time); then had breakfast (hubs cooked -yay). I spent hours keying in information for Ancestry.com's project to create new indexes for new info to go online. Neither hubs nor I got dressed all day. :-)
