I'm confused...they haven't found Caylee's body yet have they? How can they charge her with murder without the body?

Plus, I clicked on the link and 2 of the 4 charges include 1 count of murder and 1 count of aggravated manslaughter. How can they charge her with both? Isn't it one or the other?

Thirdly, (is that even a word) what was wrong with switching cars on the highway? The story seems to make that sound like a HUGE deal? Were undercover cops watching her to make sure she didn't leave the country or something?

Sadly, I think this mom definitely had something to do with the disappearance/murder whatever actually happened. Something must be terribly wrong with her??

Hot Coffee and Casey Anthony

I had been waiting to see "Hot Coffee" for quite a while,so watched it and recorded it the first night it came on. Oliver Diaz, the former Supreme Court Justice from Mississippi that is featured in it is one of my very good friends from childhood and he was very excited about the film. It's definitely time for some changes in our system, I'm just not sure we'll ever get those in charge to agree on the proper changes.

Casey Anthony case

Just watched the ABC World News' update on this case. The anchor commented on how the Anthony's support of their daughter has waned significantly since Casey's accusation of molestation at the hands of her father and brother. Seems as tho Casey is willing to put her parents/family through whatever hell she deems necessary in her own twisted mind in order to avoid prosecution. Did I hear correctly that she wanted her parents to use the reward money to post her bail? What a sick, sick, sick girl. Her daughter was still missing at that point and all she wanted was to be set free. Speaks volumes of her character or lack thereof IMHO. I feel terrible for her parents. They seem to have made a very nice home for their unwed daughter and grandchild. How awful it must be for them, especially Mrs. Anthony. IRC, she originally placed the call to the police about the vehicle having been missing, and the subsequent "odor" in the car being similar to that of a dead body. From what I've seen, I believe Mrs. Anthony is/was a nurse? Sadly, the tapes of the parents visiting their daughter in jail were played. That girl was treating her parents terribly from the moment she was arrested. I can only imagine that this was not new behavior. With regard to the death penalty, it was reported that unless/until the prosecution can prove that Casey in fact murdered little Kaylee, she will not be subject to the death penalty. I do think it would be a shame if the prosecution offers Casey a plea. Especially if the plea is in exchange for a confession or details of what happened to her daughter. At this point I don't think it matters, the child is gone. As far as I can tell, Casey will say/do anything, notwithstanding whether her testimony is truthful. Kaylee's mother definitely played some role in at the very least, the coverup as to the where, when and how's of her young daughter's demise.

Casey Anthony Trial......just curious

I understand your concerns about getting a fair jury because of the media attentions this has received. Media spin is hyper-pap for the masses and made to keep viewers tuning in to that particular station. Hopefully there are enough intelligent people who can tune out the rumor mongering sensationalism and be part of a fair and impartial jury of peers. The thing about selecting a jury is those folks answers to the questions. Truthfully, knowing about something is very different from having a predisposed judgment without the body of evidence giving proof beyond a shadow of doubt. I do know Casey is accused of killing her daughter. I know there is much debate over the evidence and its handling. I know many people already believe she is guilty. I could not presume to make judgment of innocence or guilt without seeing the evidence giving absolute proof. Even after a trial and I am not a juror I could not make the assumption she is guilty or innocent because I would not have seen all the evidence, heard the testimony, and seen the actions and reactions of the accused. If I were a juror I would make absolute sure I understood everything and would ask for clarifications if I didn't understand. I would hate to send someone to death row over a tidbit of incorrect or misunderstood information. In this type of trial the jurors are very vulnerable people. They have the burden of seeing justice done in a very publicized case of child murder. All the while being denied the comforts of family and friends that would normally be the support and strength to help them thru a rough situation. LIL

Casey Anthony's parents on Dr. Phil
Q

There is a petition on change.org about this. Just signed it. Look what Jennifer Kesse's (missing FL woman) Dad had to say- Many of you were outraged that George and Cindy Anthony will be guests on the season opener of "Dr. Phil." One comment, however, stood out: It came from Drew Kesse, the father of missing Jennifer Kesse. Jennifer was 24 when she disappeared in 2006. Orlando police believe she was abducted from her condominium near the Mall at Millenia. Drew Kesse complained that the Anthonys are "a disgrace and an insult to every missing person and their families." Kesse wrote: "Lets make this very clear, Caylee was murdered. She was never missing and should not ever be considered missing at any time during the entire ordeal. Caylee has never been the center of anything since she was killed. Everyone else in her family has, but the true victim -not." Casey Anthony, the daughter of George and Cindy Anthony, was acquitted last month of first-degree murder in the death of 2-year-old Caylee. Kesse was incensed that George and Cindy Anthony asked the "Dr. Phil" show for a contribution to their new foundation named for Caylee. And Kesse blasted Dr. Phil McGraw, who interviews George and Cindy in an episode to air Sept. 12 on WOFL-Channel 35. "Let's get one thing straight right now, Dr. Phil, you are a pimp for this garbage," Kesse wrote. "The Anthonys and this new foundation are the biggest insults to every missing person in America today. Dr. Phil, after the show airs and you make a donation to their new scam, have on real families of the missing." Kesse's message to the Anthonys: "Go away, far away, please."

I guess a body isn't always necessary if they have other evidence. And they apparently have evidence of chloroform and the odor of decaying human remains in the trunk of a car she was using.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had cops watching her. She has been extremely dishonest and untrustworthy in her dealings with them.

I live in Orlando and we've been surrounded by this case from the start. It's all so sad and maddening too. Whether this young mother killed her poor child, or let her be fatally injured through negligence or sold her, there doesn't seem to be much doubt that she was deeply involved. The police have said there was much information they were not releasing. I'm sure they wanted to be certain they had all the evidence they needed before charging her.

If you want more detailed information than you can get on CNN, check out the Orlando newspaper articles.

This is a real strange saga. I think Casey did something to the little girl. I wish there were something they could do to her to MAKE he tell. Casey's mother is a strange bird too. Dottie

Such a strange case. Why no body? That mother is inhuman. How could you injure or kill your own child?

Although I personally think the little girl is, sadly, dead. But even if she is missing.....how can a MOTHER go out partying, shopping for lingerie, getting tattoos and other frivolous activities, when your child is missing???? Something is rotten down there in Florida, pertaining to this case. Dottie

My DH has said all along that he thinks she threw poor little Cayley in with the alligators....that was mentioned on Nancy Grace too. Sad to think but with her sick mind it is very possible. Poor little thing, I hope she sold her and she's ok, but it doesn't look good at all.

Her attorney is saying that when the story is told, everyone will understand. I hope so. I hate to think that she killed this child. She does act like she's afraid of something.

I've always had the feeling that she sold the baby to non citizens and they are no longer in the country.

I'm hoping she didn't sell her. She could be in a foreign country like Thailand or the Middle East right now being used in the sex trade.
