My supper is over with. Today was grocery shopping day for me. I had fried potatoes with onions, a hot dog, a couple wedges of tomato (home grown), also some home grown watermelon, and a small slice of Sock It To Me Cake. Milk to drink.

I pulled some spaghetti sauce out of the freezer. Served it over some brown rice. Usually don't eat any dessert, but that Baby Ruth candy bar was calling my name.

Ummmm, Yum, Rhizo, bet your house will smell heavenly. DH loves roast chicken and I usually stock up on whole birds (local) when on sale but I have none in the freezer at all right now.

I'm doing breaded 'oven fried' butterfly shrimp tonight (Costco frozen not fresh) and French fries. A green salad and rolls, didn't make the rolls but I'll warm them.

Bbq country style ribs and salad and corn.

We had tacos (gr. turkey) with all the trimmings for a late lunch/ early supper.

Re-play of last night.
Had just enough of everything left over for fish tacos again.

Half plate: hamburger steak, salad and plain baked potato at Lloyd's, today.

Everybody 's meal sounds pretty darned good! I have always loved the aromas of cooking.....almost as much as the taste. I'm not exaggerating one bit when I say that.

The smell of onions cooking, the seasonings we use to flavor our foods (thinking taco and Italian, BBQ, etc.) Mor, you are darned right that the chicken is smelling soooo good. I highly recommend Penzey's poultry seasoning...it's so much better than the usual fare.

Glenda, I know that your lunch of hamburger steak is one of your favorites. :-)

Patty melts here...

London Broil, mashed potatoes, peas and green beans. Also for dessert we had gingerbread with real whipped cream.

Invited the neighbor from across the street over for dinner. She lives alone and most evenings skips dinner.

I love a gooey patty melt! Piled with sauteed onions and mushrooms for me.

Nita, gingerbread is an all time favorite of mine. I rarely make a dessert, but this is on my list.

I use homemade whipped cream, too. Lemon whipped cream is decadent...made with a little sugar, fresh lemon juice, and lemon zest. Oh my!

Pizza! Thanks to whoever said that for Monday's thread. Ah, no dishes or cooking. Nice break from things.
