Dinner sounds yummy, I love parslied taters. Ever since someone on here asked for the recipe for SOS I have been craving it so tonight that is on the menu! Will make a green veggie and a salad to go with it.

Home Made Pizza and a green salad..we are leaving for a week so it's clean out the refrigerator day!

We are going out for kielbasa and pierogis!

Wish I had travel plans...DH is busy.

I have left over cooked pork. So I'm dicing it, putting it in green chili sauce and smothering nachos with it.

Irondale Cafe, today: fried chicken livers (my once a year indulgence in them) and carrot salad.

Go there once a year, after I deliver yearly pumpkin bread to my advisor, who has an office nearby the restaurant.

I've got some chicken quarters that were shaken with homemade spice mix and bread crumbs in the oven, with potatoes and carrots in the oven, roasting

Hubby doesn't like dark meat at all, so he's having chili.

Leftover piece of chicken thigh, an apple, and a half slice of pumpkin bread.

I've been boiling stew beef for awhile...it's about ready to add potatoes,celery and carrots...then when that is all ready I'll put in some dumplings. I don't mean noodles in bumps but real dumplings. A dough you drop into the boiling liquid and it turns into a soft fluffy sort of like a gravy covered bread....so yummy.

I was going to post a question about dumplings!!!

The other day hubby was saying that when he was a kid, his mom made chicken and dumplings. Then he moved to the states as an adult, ordered it, and these wet balls were served.

I told him that's what dumplings are! He said his mom would put them on top of a chicken casserole and bake in the oven and they would get crisp.

I said those were biscuits and dumplings are white and fluffy and get boiled with chicken, covered and you don't peek.

He thought they were gross, but those are my fondest memories of my Nan, making chicken and dumplings. I would love to have some!!!!!

Patti, I love that kind of dumpling. They're really good with Great Northern bean soup poured over them, too.

what ever the hubby decides to stop and pick up on his way home, I said I was not cooking.

We ate out at our regular place. chicken fried steak on the buffet. I had a small piece, corn on the cob, some pinto beans with rice and sausage, a little bit of mashed potatoes with a dab of gravy and orange sherbet and iced tea.

That's the way I make dumplings...fluffy on top of chicken stew. But some people make the rolled out kind...I can eat them but they aren't a favorite. Sometimes I would put drop biscuits on top of chicken pot pie....that sounds like what Jasdip's husband is talking about.

It was delish! My older son loves it and asked for it last night so I sent him to the store today for some of the ingredients! There's just enough leftovers for tomorrows lunch!

Pasties from "Connies" bakery and pasty shop for Emi and her boyfriend, and Nachos Supreme at the Downtowner for Gary and I while he was warming up to shoot darts. All of this AFTER an early birthday cake for Emi's 16th birthday!

I made sauteed pork cutlets and had honey orange ginger glazed sweet potatoes and carrots with it. Now here it is another day already and I have to figure out what to serve tonight!
