It sounds like everyone is having a busy weekend, quilting or otherwise! Well, you know what they say about "idle hands", so I don't think we'll have any problems here, eh? Friday night we got hit with a fast-acting blizzard (2 feet of snow in just about 12 hours), so the state police closed the post office I work in, so I came home to a 4-day weekend. Yesterday I made a set of 4 coasters for the current Seeds-n-Stitches swap. I call them Grape Pie Coasters, and whenever they're washed, the "crust" will become more pronounced as they unravel a little. The blue fabric is the underside of the coaster, and I'm glad I had some fabric to make the interwoven crust with! I'm hoping to finish a quilt I'm in the middle of making. Instead of making a bunch of crazy quilt blocks, I'm doing the whole thing as one huge block. I'm also planning on working on blocks for the birthday block exchange and the mystery quilt I'm hosting for Aprils S-n-S group. But, right now, I think it's time to go bake some sugar cookies to enjoy with my coffee this morning! Have a great weekend everyone! Dan

I do not think it will start a war...just maybe dirty looks and cold shoulders. The funny thing is that the kids go to private school and the family walks past our house every Sunday to attend church services. You would think they are decent people.....but I feel like that is all a mask for the demons they are raising! On the 4th our town had fireworks at the park we usually go to. We walked since it is only a few blocks. On the way home they were in front of us walking. The bigger troublemaker of the two boys stopped to tie his shoe (I think so we would catch up). Well we passed the boys and their father (their mom did not go to fireworks-she does not work or anything?). When we got up to the street to cross there was lots of cars leaving the fireworks. They all rushed out in front of cars and crossed so we ended up behind them again. Well when we passed their house (it was almost 10pm) the dad had gone inside and left the two boys outside hanging out in the driveway! It was like he was asking for trouble.

I'm sorry she had to join this sisterhood,but like everything else"this too shall pass".I'm going thru cancer treatments now also and have lost my hair.I wear hats,cotton ones,knit ones etc.I didn't get a wig as i knew i wouldn't like it.One thing i've learned is that if she can get some headbands about 3" wide to wear under the hats,it helps hold them in place so they don't slide up.Most hats are made too short in the back,and that's why they ride up.JMO Losing my hair was harder for me than losing my boobs. Tell her if she wants,she can email me thru my page,and we can commiserate with each other,and maybe share some tips or ideas. (((((((((((((((((())))))))))))))))))))) to you both. Kathi
