Playing Doctor (No, not Nursery Games)

I'm trying to find a cause for my low pulse rate (Bradycardia). I'm sick of wearing a heart monitor 24/7. I've had *no* 'episodes' to record, of course, ever since I've had it on. (2 weeks and 2 to go).

About six weeks ago I had three episodes of feeling *awful* -- no symptoms except a pulse of only 40. (One overnight and two during the day.) That's why I was given the monitor.

I know I have an 'extra beat' murmur -- have had it all my life without problems. I'm trying to figure out if I've done anything, or taken any meds, that led to this problem -- and why it is sporadic.

MD prescribed Iron supplements nine months ago because I complained of hair loss. (KT members reminded me I'd run a fever with pneumonia that could have caused THAT.) I did stop losing hair.

I've been on Advair 250/50 for non-allergic asthma for years. I take a multi-vitamin daily. MD added Fish Oil and Vitamn D-3 for both DH and me a few months back. I've used prescription Ambien 5 mg as a sleep aid for two years (not every night). No other meds other than stool softener -- to remedy the constipation caused by the Iron supplement.

Is this just 'wearing out' stuff? I'll be 70 next year.

Anyone have or know someone who has had low pulse rates now and then?
