I saw it on TMZ yesterday. She left her husband and is having an affair with a man that is a convicted child molester( he molested a relative of Shannons) . If it is true that she is doing that then she is one sick woman. Next thing we know they will take the kids away from her. Oh wait that will be the next tv show! GAG
I just never understood the whole thing at all.

I agree! But that is what the world has come to, many people are like that now. I hated to even see the advertisements for the show.

I agree the family needs to be out of the public eye. The show helped them get some money in the beginning, but it is way beyond exploitation now. June is denying the affair. I hope she is telling the truth. For all of this families baggage and cringe worthy moments, I still hope the best for them. The family members have good hearts and try to help others.

I feel so bad for those girls, and especially Alana (Sugar Bear is her father). I, too, hope that the mother isn't dating the guy that she's reportedly dating.

By the way, whomever she dates, it's not an affair because she wasn't married to Sugar Bear.

I know it sounds like I know a lot about it, but I don't, honestly! Haha. Yes, I've watched it, but only a couple of times for a part of the show. I hope that Alana survives Ok, but I fear for her. It's scary.

I don't think you have to be married for it to be an "affair". "Affair" can also mean "romance".

Everyone is entitled to guilty pleasures. (I don't agree with the word "pleasures"), but you know what I mean. I guess if you want to be in the loop of knowing about pop culture, you need to feast your eyes and ears on news makers, at least once.

I just saw on AOL that she denied it and her priority is with her daughters.
But, looks like TLC didn't buy it.

I watched one episode to see what all the hoopla was about. They needed subtitles so you could understand what they were saying. Imagine, English subtitles for English!

I've never seen it, but I don't watch any 'reality' shows. They are the bottom of the barrel and just money-makers for the producers and networks, etc.

And it's not happening fast enough! I don't watch much of anything any more. There's nothing to watch. Our local public tv has the best stuff. If they don't have anything I turn it off again. And the quiet is WONDERFUL!

I hope that disgusting "Dirty Jobs" goes off. That guy's always trying to think of something off color to say. It's not the jokes it's that he's obviously trying. A major turn off. So junior high.

Earlier today I happened to see a quick blurb about that show; it included a picture of Honey Boo Boo. I didn't read what it said. I quickly moved on while I mumbled to myself that stuff is still on? I had watched a part of 2 shows, 'way back just to see if it was as bad as I had heard it was. . Made me embarrassed to think about how proud I had always been to say "I'm a Southerner."

Thankfully, it is gone now, and I hope that is just the beginning of some TV house cleaning.

Now an older daughter is saying she was molested by one of the mom's boyfriends when she was 8.

What an embarrassment this show was. I can't believe that people acted this way. I was shocked at how long it was on the air. Too many shows on TLC are to me not watchable. What kind of people with any sense would watch these crazy shows?
