Can't wait to see Castle, Criminal Minds, NCIS and some of the new shows.

I'm waiting for Season Four of True Blood, which won't be back until next summer. Bummer.

I do not like how HBO has total trashed and ruined the story line of Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire mysteries, but, like any train wreck I have to keep watching.

Eric? Anyone? LOL

Been turned off by Dancing with the Stars, but I think this one will be a good one.

I have avoided this post because this is SO HARD to answer. I feel like if I mention one, the others seeds will say, "Well, fine! We won't germinate for you!" So my lips are sealed. Truly, it's after they really grown in the yard (and second or third year on perennials) that I get an idea of whether i truly look forward to them or not. I've noticed that when I rely and wait eagerly on one plant, it always seems to be another plant that I sorely underrated that performs (and dresses up the garden) beyond my wildest dreams (and beyond the one I was waiting so eagerly for). Brad - I hijacked all my daughter's columbine stems/seedpods back in May because she cut them off and was going to (gasp!) throw them out. Makes me wonder if we're related by blood! I brought them all home but have no idea what they look like because she has so many different ones--tall ones mostly, some double, blue definitely. If you're willing to be surprised, I've got like a bajillion seeds to send you. My rose campion foliage is still absolutely gorgeous, silver and velvety even after the terrible storm damage. I may check out 'Alba' next year. Is 'Bloody Mary' a red variety? That would be a stunning comination--silver stems/foliage with tomato red flowers. Wow. In between other chores I played with seeds today. Those dry enough to be brought indoors are now stored in plastic salad dressing cups with lids. The number of paper bowls with seeds in them on shelves inside the garage is dwindling. If I don't manage it before then, I'll haul a bale of growers mix inside the house Thanksgiving week. My 'Leap of Faith' seeds this year are going to be Lobelia cardinalis 'Fan Scarlet.' Jury is still out on whether or not it's fully hardy in my zone.

I'm with Robert and Suzie on this one. The first tomato is the one we look forward to the most. Technically, we've already had our first three tomatoes from our plants in pots, so for us the first tomato thing already is over. Like all tomatoes that have set and ripened in cooler temperatures, their flavor, while still good and certainly superior to grocery store tomatoes, is not the same as a tomato that will ripen in hotter temperatures in May or June. The first tomato from an in-ground plant likely will be from Better Boy, which bloomed insanely early, but the ones I'm looking forward to the most are those from the black, purple or pink varieties like J D's Special C-Tex, Spudakee Purple, Spudatula, Greek Rose, Cherokee Purple, etc. It is likely our first fruit from in-ground plants, if not Better Boy, will be from Terenzo or LIzzano, but I don't particularly crave the flavor of a typical red hybrid cherry. I crave the OPs that are impossible to come by in stores....and when I have bought the commercially grown OPs from places like Central Market, they did not taste nearly as good as OPs grown here in our garden. Fresh and locally grown still is best, regardless of the name of the variety. Suzie, Say it isn't so! I have steadfastly refused to look further out at the forecast for next week because I didn't want to see another potential cold front. I told Tim this morning that it wouldn't surprise me to have one next week, since that has been a very consistent pattern for the last few weeks ....but I sure was hoping for a pattern change. Some of my plants soon will be too tall to cover. At about 2.5-3' tall now, some of the potatoes already are getting hard to cover, and this heat is making them grow by leaps and bounds. Even with floating row cover, there's a limit to how much you can cover, and the taller the plants get, the harder it is. For us, the rain has tapered off a lot down here the last two weeks....and my ground is cracking. Crazy, isn't it? Usually the ground doesn't crack until June. All winter I looked forward to spring so much. Now,I look at all the crazy roller coaster weather and say to myself "This? This is what you were waiting for?" It was 91 degrees at our house yesterday and yet our forecast for later in the week shows 34 degrees. It seems ridiculous to have both of those temperature readings in the same week. I'll be happy with whatever tomatoes we get this year because something tells me we aren't going to have the huge harvests we were blessed with last year. I am so happy we canned, froze and dehydrated a 2-3 year supply in 2012 because it may be that we don't get enough fruit this year to make/can salsa and all that other stuff. Dawn

I don't think most of mine start next month, but: Homeland The Affair The Americans Rectify Billions: this one is not my favorite as I can't stand most of the actors, but I am loyal to Damian Lewis who I loved in Homeland and in The Forsyte Saga, so I will watch it. Bloodline The Fall (BBC) Gee, just typing that list out made me eager. I just rewatched all of Homeland to prepare for the next season and heard today it won't start until January :(

Really looking forward to Blue Blood, I hope its as good as it looks, and Biggest Loser, Dancing with the Stars, another new one called Detroit 1-8-7, and Ruby but I dont think her show starts for a few more months

We like Fringe too. It's so creepy. That's how I feel about Criminal Minds....absolutely horrific how some people think and act.

Joan, hubby can't wait to see L and O LA as well. Have you caught the UK one? He likes it as well.

Glee, In Treatment, The Good Wife, The Middle, and Dancing with the Stars. I watched the premiere of the new Jimmy Smitts show, Outlaw. Didn't love it, but I'll watch a few more times before I make up my mind. Missing The Tudors a lot, though.

In no particular order...

NCIS -- Never watched the show before last season, and didn't even catch all of them then - started watching midway through the season. During the summer we managed to watch EVERY episode because they were being aired on the USA Network. We're hooked on it and hope it never ends.

The Mentalist -- Love, love, love Simon Baker and this show. Have watched every minute of every episode at least once, since the moment it premiered. Since the CBI office is in Sacramento, and since the cast and crew was here again this summer to film more scenes (as they did last season), it's going to be fun watching it. And the storyline is awesome, anyway.

Men of a Certain Age -- This one won't be back until December (on TNT), but it is so, so, so good!

The Middle, Modern Family, Cougar Town -- Love all three ABC comedies! On each of these shows, the casting is superb!

Amazing Race -- THE BEST reality show!

I got hooked on the Mentalist this summer as well. I watched a few shows that I never have before.

Big Bang Theory is another one. It's hilarious.

I forgot about Brothers & Sisters! Yes! Love that show. We still like House, as well. Good Wife.

Definitely the new ones look good. Not sure about Hawaii-5-0.Never saw the original, so no need to see this one.

I loved, loved Jimmy Smits in Cane. Wish they'd give it another chance, since it got cancelled during the writers strike years ago. Hubby loved his new show the Outlaws last week I couldn't get into it.

One I tried to get into last week was Shattered. The guy with dual personalities. I flipped the channel.

I guess the only one that comes to mind is Dancing With the Stars. I don't really care for what most of you seem to like. My girls do though. Maybe it is my age :)

Hawaii 5-0. An old favorite of mine and my Mom's. They even are re-using the character name "Steve McGarrett." Last night I watched Boardwalk Empire. Pretty good, very good work by Director Martin Scorcese. The sets and costumes looked authentic, but the plot had a lot of deaths. My husband grew up and went to grade school with MS, by the way. (Big deal.)

Anything but, football or golf. LOL!

Can't mention daytime favs. I get bashed. LOL!

Survivor, Amazing Race, Fringe, and all those cool Discovery and History channel shows like Mythbusters and Man Woman Wild. It is sad not to be looking forward to LOST anymore.

jasdip -- Please tell me more about the UK version of "Law & Order". Is it on DVD or live? DH has watched L & O episodes *forever*, and we both enjoy Brit dramas. (Have enjoyed DVD's of an old Canadian series, too -- about a coroner in Vancouver -- title is something like "Da Vinci's Inquest".)

Nothing. I'm only watching Mad Men right now and that started a little over a month ago. I want a lot of random television but I don't tend to get attached to many current shows anymore.

I'm looking forward to a new season of Antiques Roadshow at some point. Tired of the reruns.

Desperate Housewives & Brothers & Sisters are favs.

I see that the new season is starting in Oct in the US so it's been renewed.

I haven't seen any previews that have caught my attention. So guess I'm not looking forward to any new shows. I'm not much of a tv watcher anyway.

I usually go to bed at ten o'clock, but starting next Friday night, when Blue Blood with Tom Selleck begins--at ten--I'll be losing an hour's sleep once a week! Love that man!!!

I was looking forward to DWTS until I saw the lineup, and now won't even turn it on.

Also looking forwrad to the Next Iron Chef.

Of the new shows this season I am looking forward to watching the Defenders and Detroit 1-8-7. I live just across the river from Detroit and this show is generating a lot of buzz about it and one of my favourite Canadian comedians Shaun Majumber plays one of the detectives. It is also kind of cool that everyone who watches it will see the Detroit skyline from Windsor that I see everyday.

I saw the pilot of Jimmy Smits' new show and the jury is still out (no pun intended). I'll watch it a few more times before I make my decision.

NCIS and NCIS-LA.
Tried to watch The Event last night. Didn't like the times skipping around. Couldn't figure out what the heck was happening.
Had to choose between Chase and Hawaii 5-O last night. Tried Chase. It has possibilties. Will try H5O next week.
