Ahh Bra?

Anyone have an Ahh Bra? I'm seeking a really comfortable bra. That's probably not possible, I suppose. I saw one @ the local dollar store for $10 & I'm tempted to try it.

It seems that even when I use the extenders on the back hooks, they feel too tight. I would go bra less, but I dislike the "droopiness." LOL

Anyone have any recommendations for a super comfortable bra ?

I love the awwww bra. I'm not longer "perky", but I don't care - I'm comfortable...

Grab you 20% off coupon and purchase. Try one on at home and see for yourself if they might be for you. Cost for me was $16 for the two bras! If not for you, simply return with your receipt. The only downside is that they are only available in packs of nude and black. Also, the size Small is not available. Only size Medium and larger are available in the stores, so if you want a white bra, you'll likely have to order from the web-site, although this way, you can clearly determine your size. I am small-busted (34 B) and purchased a size Medium because the smaller size wasn't available. Loved it and it seemed to fit just fine. Went back the next day and purchased another two-pack with another coupon from the Sunday paper. Can't be beat! So comfortable. They come with removable pads for better coverage, but is up to you and your preference whether or not to remove the pads. Remove the pads before laundering, however! There are several reviews on this bra at this website - well worth a look.

Where do they open,front,back or slip over your head?? I've been wearing the hanes sports bras,but i find they are too high,so i get out my trusty old seam ripper and remove the first 2 hook and eyes,then turn the corners down and tack in place on the sewing machine. I don't really have anything to put in a bra these days except a few dog ears left over from the mastectomy,and i don't wear anything at home most of the time.but when i go out i like to be covered. I did get the mastectomy bras,and the boobs to go in them,but i'm always hot,so less is more for me. kathi

I wear my jeans pretty tight and I wear a belt so I don't have to be pulling on them all the time. As for the bra...........I really, really hate them. I think the person who invented them had to be a man who seriously hated women. Since I broke my arm I can't fasten them after I put them on. I fasten them and slip them over my head. In the winter I wear a cami that I pull over my head or step in and pull it up. I think part of my problem with bras is the fact I want the straps shortened, that adds to the discomfort/PAIN.

Roarah, I haven't read all of the comments that show distaste for the wedding, but yours caught my eye. I have been fascinated by the Travellers and Roma cultures and want to have a better understanding of their lives vs. what is presented on TV. I have had this book on my shelf for a long time and have only read some of it: I need to finish it. When I've watched the TLC shows, I try to see (even though we all know that reality TV is pure fantasy) what they like about their culture through their eyes. In other words, what works? Why do they have certain traditions? When I first saw the enormous dresses and such, they floored me-- but I figured that everyone has different opinions of beauty. I am certain they would find my wedding dress with nary a sequin to be dull and uninspired. As for the girls who are married at the age of 14-- it is hard to think about that, for sure. I think it is wrong and hope there are activists who are helping them see this and end it. I wonder if it is a case of a culture that has remained very isolated and therefore a throwback to a time where people just didn't live as long . . .so things like marriage and family were done at a much younger age. We see rape and they see tradition. I think it is hard, in general, too, when we are introduced to only certain aspects of a culture or religion that greatly conflict with our own values and traditions. It is difficult to find a balance of respecting others while finding some of what they do to be immoral. What I do is to remind myself of how much I don't know . . .to understand that I am only seeing one tiny piece (and it's from an ethnocentric perspective anyway). But it can still be a challenge!

I like the Milana bra...I'm not big chested but am not thin either...I need the 2x to feel comfortable. I have several white and several black..if the nude color comes to WalMart I'll buy one. I also have a few of the Genie bras but never tried the AhhBra....

Horrible experience with it. It rolled up so bad when I lifted my arms above my head I was wearing it as a necklace. Worst ever.

I find it very comfortable. Wouldn't wear it under a T Shirt, but good for every day use. There are many much cheaper versions around than the one on TV. All the same.

Have you been to a local lingerie store? Or even a department store to get a good fit?

I found the bra I like (a Wacoal) by getting fitted in Bloomingdale's. I have since found a local shop that sells it cheaper. I now use them and they have help me find a comfortable strapless as well.

Funny about bras. I went to a local shop close to me and tried on everything! The saleswoman said, sorry but I have nothing for you. This same statement was made to my friend at my place.
I also went to a place where they had an extender sewn on. Big mistake. It was never comfortable.
Make finding a bra your mission. Go to as many places as possible.

I was tired of looking saggy in pictures.

I just finished the Great Bra Hunt and ended up buying a Natori. I went to Nordstrom to be fitted. She suggested that I move up two cup sizes and down a band size.Well, the smaller band was too uncomfortable. So, I tried it on in my usual band size and only one cup size larger and that was the ticket. It is so comfy and looks great. The damn thing cost $70 but I found them on Amazon for about $45.

I see women walking around in the worst bras. I feel like tapping them on the shoulder and saying "lady, hike up your sisters!"

BTW, I thought everything at the Dollar Store cost a dollar or less? I sure would not buy a bra there. You need to be fitted and get something well made.

I'm another big fan of Barely There bras. Very comfortable and they come in sports-type or regular hook. The name is right on--you barely know it's there.

I actually like the Genie bra, although I know many people don't. But I find it comfortable and it tends to slim me down some.

At my age I don't want perky, I want flattened - otherwise I feel like a walking shelf. After menopause my boobs got huge. So no underwires for me. When I walk into a room I don't want my chest arriving 10 minutes before the rest of me. LOL!

I am in need of new bras so just looked on line at the Bali Barely There bras. There are so many different ones. Which specific one was it that each of you who prefer it like so much, please.

"The girls" were finally happy when I had a professional fitting at Nordstrom. I can't believe I was wearing the wrong size for so many years. So glad for the fitting. I used to have indentations on my shoulders from the straps. Not anymore! I was not aware that the band is for support and lift, not the straps. Live and learn!

My favorite bra is Wacoal. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

I don't know about that bra, but what I found was that when I tryed an extender, I found that my bras just didn't feel right. Maybe because it made the straps be in the wrong space.

I have the ahh bra & Genie bras. They are ok, better if your smaller busted. They are great if you need to go to the hospital, they are good to sleep in. They are both made very small so order bigger if you get one.
There are pros & cons, but I do like them at times. They do have a tendency to flatten you out a bit. Not very supportive.... ....maybe more so if your smaller.
