Tonight I have pasta in the Aroma cooker.

Oh, yes we love it Raven. He told me to be sure to put the recipe in the Keeper binder. I think he was afraid I would lose it!

How does pasta work in the aroma cooker? Do you boil it like you would on the stove?

I ran a lot of errands today, and went to see my sister in the Home. Too tired to cook and nothing in the refrigerator so I picked up a BOGO free McDonald's Big Macs. Had one of those for my evening meal.

We had garlic chicken pasta and green beans. I made blueberry banana and strawberry banana muffins so we had one of those for dessert

Talipia, broiled with lemon butter and Panko bread crumbs, steamed asparagus, sauteed in olive oil, Kosher salt and herbs, and sweet potato fries.

Desert was ice cream cones.

Beer and ice cream. Dentist approved.

Today was Ladies Night Outâ¦.we had a fashion show put on by Talbot's. 9 of us stayed for dinner. I had a soft shell crab and half a Caesar salad.
DH had his left over fish and chips.

Bengardening, your garlic pasta and green beans sound good. I bought a bunch of skinny green beans today at the store, then our wonderful landlady gave us a bunch of pole beans and kale today.

Beer and ice cream......dentist approved. LOL, OF.

Monica your dinner is so healthy. I love breaded fish. I haven't tried sweet potato fries yet. Actually I did, try them once but they didn't get crispy at all. I'll have to try it again.

Some of these meals sound so good to me! excepting OF's beer and ice cream, of course. I definitely prefer beer and brownies. :)

For some odd reason, I was craving golumpki tonight, so it was golumpki and pumpernickel bread for me (both homemade) and it really hit the spot!

PS: jasdip, congrats on the successful batch of relish! After many years of canning without problems, I've started getting failed seals -- on a much too regular basis. I just learned that they've changed the Ball canning lid sealer from rubber to something else. I guess that explains why my seals have started to fail! It's so disappointing. :(

I made oven roasted yukon gold potatoes, yellow squash, and onion, and bratwurst with sauerkraut, with a Newcastle Werewolf Blood Red Ale.

Jasdip the Aroma cooker I have has the sautee and simmer setting so I put the meat and onion and mushrooms and garlic in on that setting, it Browns the meat and stuff then I add pasta sauce and the raw pasta, I add some wine to give more liquid. Stir it up good, shut the lid and it cooks it in about 30 minutes then sets itself to keep warm.

How long did you cook the Salsa chicken?

Sloppy joes and grapes. We were hot, hungry, and very tired.

Raven, I know nothing about Aroma cookers except that you love yours!
I'm going to noodle around and see what yours is like and what all it does.

My induction burner is Aroma.

A bit cooler today, although the humidity was persistent; and still very little air movement.

The missus has some sort of respiratory problem and stayed home instead of knitting the afternoon away with the girls. It made me change some of what I usually do.

I made a simple chicken, vegetable, noodle soup for the mid-day meal. Mostly for the missus, I like soup and she will put up with it when she is ill. The evening repast was a large salad with poached salmon for me and an egg, bacon, cheese and roasted anaheim pepper sandwich for her. Then, she slept in the living room chair. She didn't even have the TV on.

While she was doing that, I made preparations for posting information and photos about our day in Seville, Spain from our 42-day cruise. (See it on The Garden Party on GardenWeb forum on Thursday morning.)

Jasdip, the secret to crispy sweet potato fries is to use a light spray on a cookie sheet, put the fries on the sheet, and spray them again, then put them in the oven with a low broil setting.
