Lunch with best friend, as I'm leaving town, and when I get back, she and hubby are leaving.

Cobb salad, is what she had and what I was going to have UNTIL waiter told me what the soup of the day was.

So I had a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo, (delicious) and pork wings! Yep, pork wings :o)

Fall off the bone with either teriyaki sauce or bbq sauce.

Didn't like the teriyaki, too strong, so waiter brought me the bbq sauce. I prefer my sauces on the side.

Great visit, great food!

I still have some of the potato dish I made on Sunday, so we're having that with sausages and corn.

Watermelon sounds good. I haven't bought one yet this year!

GS and I stopped at the farmer's market, yesterday, and bought a watermelon off the truck.

Hope it was sweet. Sample gs tasted was sweet.

Spaghetti, and a thunderstorm!!

LOL, Bigack! We had rain most of the morning and it's started "booming" again, but no rain, so far. Enjoy your spaghetti--and if you lose your electricity you can always dine by candlelight!

Glenda, your lunch sounds delicious and fun. Food always tastes better when shared with friends.

We've had great watermelons this year, Jasdip. Wish I was at your house for the sausages and potatoes.

I made pulled chicken today, along with some mashed potatoes. I'll reheat them tomorrow and take that with some corn to eat lunch with my special needs sister at the Home. So I had some tonight along with some green beans.

DS is visiting. We had lasagna the first night because it is his SO's favorite meal. Yesterday we played in a golf tournament together followed by a big luncheon of pulled pork sandwiches, fried chicken, potato salad, cole slaw and tossed salad so we just had BLT's for dinner. Tonight we're having the Shrimp ditalini salad with sliced tomatoes, corn bread and ice cream for dessert. I'm starting on tomorrow night's dinner now because I have a luncheon to go to tomorrow. Will have to eat real light at lunch.

The count down is on Glenda. I'm sure your GS is getting real excited about the up coming trip.

Georgysmom, has your son had the ditalini salad before? If not, what a treat that will be! If he has, he'll sure be happy. That was some feast after your golf tournament. I'm surprised you could eat anything at all. Yep, Glenda's counting down the days--aren't you supposed to be leaving soon, too?

Leftover tortellini w/ spag sauce if I eat supper at all. Don't have much of an appetite today, too hot.

I left and am back. We had a great time! He had not had the shrimp salad before. I doubled the recipe because he's a big eater and I wanted leftovers. His girlfriend left for business trip on Tuesday and will be back tomorrow night but I think kind of late. We're having ribs but I thought that might be too heavy for a late night dinner so she will get the shrimp salad.
