I had a chicken patty, some lean cuisine mac/cheese, and a potato. Already had the patties made earlier this week, so not much prep, nor cleanup tonight.

Beautiful sunny day here in Ohio. Should be that way till Sunday. I could very quickly get spoiled with this weather pattern.

Glenda, I love how you can eat whatever sounds good without the cleanup. And your meals always sound so darned good! Yes, I did sleep like a log last night, thanks.

Shirley, one thing I really miss about living up north is Spring. When I go home to Indiana, I have to walk barefoot through that soft, green grass. Our Florida grass is hard as a rock! (But it does stay green most of the year, so I guess that's a good trade-off.)

Finished with the mulch, we will have to do our own in a few weeks. My knee & back is telling me wait a while. For dinner it was grilled cheese sandwiches & I had some pasta. They are saying more rain starting on Fri. If it keeps raining here we are going to need Noah's ark

It has been another fun filled day with two daughters and Alyssa. Shopping for groceries and eating out at Sirloin Stockade. Yummy. No breakfast for me nor supper, except had a banana this evening and some water to drink. Will head up to my room soon. It has been a beautiful day here in central Indiana.

Mary, glad you got that job finished! It seems we're in our summer mode with early evening showers every day. It's just slowing down after a really nice rain (no lightning or thunder). But it sure poured! We need it and I didn't get wet, so I'm happy.

Sue, glad it's finally pretty up there. We are coming to Indiana this summer for a family reunion in Fort Wayne. I'm sure looking forward to it. It's been about 4 years since I've seen one of my sisters and my brother. And we have a new baby to entertain us--and two more on the way, both due the first part of October.

Tonight was Ladies Night Out. Our new chef did a program on salads. There was a banquet table with about 30 different kinds of salads. Every one that I tasted was wonderful. There were three different kinds of slaw but the one I tasted was a barbecue slaw with pork bellies. Delish! I'm trying to remember some of the rest. I had a black bean and beet, orichette, fire and ice (which was melons, and pineapple with a spicy dressing, also delicious, chicken with rosemary, sliced pepper steak, asparagus, several mixed salad greens type salad, three different colored lentil salad, an orzo salad, a cookie and strawberry salad and so many more but I can't remember them all. Then there was an audience participation and eight ladies had to make salad dressings , and four ladies had to make up a salad plate. it was a fun evening, I'm stuffed and I didn't have to cook tonight. Doesn't get better than that!

I made quesadillas with the leftover turkey. Sauteed some onions and put some hot sauce in and mixed with the turkey. Added baby spinach to them as well.

I made some rice pudding last nite and tonite we had it. Crap, I think I forgot to add the sugar! Bleh. Tastes so bland, and something is missing.

Georgysmom, I would've really enjoyed your evening. Were you given recipes for the salads?

Jasdip--LOL! Maybe your pudding just needs a little grate of nutmeg in it. Your quesadillas sound good and healthy, too.

It was a run around day for us and it was gloomy, windy, and cold. The car heater felt good, and this is May? We went to the Waffle House for our supper....cheese omelette, hash browns scattered, smothered and covered, toast and coffee.

I fixed tacos. I made them like the ones I get at the Mexican flea market....just grilled onions and cilantro and lime on them. And I have enough left over for tomorrow too.

Link sausage, eggs and biscuits. Sausage gravy for DH's biscuits. Hubby was one happy camper!
