I too saw Jesus Christ Superstar with Tom Neeley couple years ago, when it was in town.

Linda, KT'er, and I talked until they put the closed sign up :o)

We both had their delicious chicken fried steak with white gravy, and squash casserole. I had fried okra and Linda had green beans. They were out of peach cobbler :o(

Enjoyed hearing about the newly acquired billy goats to service the females :o)

She with 9 other family members will be sharing a condo around Disney World the middle of October.

Today was a long day grocery shopping with Amber and Alyssa. We had lunch at Cracker Barrel. My meal was the vegetable plate. I chose, dumplings, fried okra, coleslaw and pinto beans and chose biscuits to go with it. When my order came I did not have the dumplings but cooked carrots. Our server went to the kitchen and brought me out a bowl of dumplings. I got to keep the carrots too. Halfway through our meal our server brought out a little bowl of broccoli casserole to try. I brought home half of my meal plus all of the broccoli casserole and 3 biscuits. Plus a refill on the unsweetened iced tea to go. I drank the tea but decided I was not hungry this evening so will not be eating any supper. My to go meal will be for another time. It was all very good. I am ready for bed and hope to be able to stay awake to watch Survivor tonight.

I made my own 'breakfast special'. Used the last of the homemade bread to make french toast. Also had a small amt of home fries and a scrambled egg. All very good.

I had a very busy day today, am very tired. Plus my son has been scheduled for over 3 wks to have knee surgery tomorrow. The way they do it now is call you on the afternoon before to tell you when to report to the hospital. They called him at 2 and told him to be there at 6:30am. A short 3 hours later, they called and cancelled it, said they've had an emergency, and will let him know when they've rescheduled. They act as if it's no big deal. Don't care that you've done a lot of planning to get off work, to be all caught up before you go, etc. Also involves the person taking you. He's not a happy camper.

We just had pizza. Patty, was Harry's last blood test ok? More than 30 years ago I chaperoned a trip to Jesus Christ Superstar on Broadway. It was fabulous.

Oh Shirley, that is really bad. I have never had a hospital do that when surgery was scheduled and neither has my husband and he has had a lot of surgeries.

Patti, I originally saw Jesus Christ Superstar in England and it was a spectacular production. This was just our local little theater players. I, along with six friends decided to buy season passes and go to the shows and out to dinner afterwards. I will say, this play really doesn't lend itself to a little theater group because the spectacular production is part of the show just as all the stage effects in Wicked or Phantom of the Opera. The local talent did as good a job as one could lacking all the special effects, so I just reminisced and envisioned the original.

Glenda, sounds like a good time with Linda. Your lunch sounds good, too.

Sue, I used to like grocery shopping, if you can believe it! Maybe if we ate out before we went, our darned bill wouldn't be so high!!

Shirley, yum--French toast! Sorry about your son. I guess they don't realize it takes some "gearing up" to face surgery. I don't understand how they could have an "emergency" surgery. And how would that affect tomorrow's schedule? So sorry he had to go through that.

Georgysmom, your dinner sounds yummy. I like local theater but we don't go anymore. I was surprised the first time we went at how professional they were. And you had an fun evening with friends so that more than makes up for the special effects!

Pam, that must've been fantastic to see JCS on Broadway. Lucky you! Yes, Harry's last INR was 2.1, which is within his range of 2.0 to 2.5. Thanks for asking. It's always iffy if it'll be within range or not.

I have been overwhelmed by tomatoes today. Made Sauce and decided to can 3 quarts and 2 pints in order to free up a bit of space in the freezer. Have not 'canned' in years, and never in this kitchen...so there was a bit of a learning curve. Now I am oven roasting (in wine)what didn't fit into the first pot and we are having that for dinner.Son is moving into my sewing/tv room tonight, so I have only had quick breaks all day long. Turning back the clock 40 years and it would be great if the body were 40 years younger. (My two oldest children now living with us....and I am already grey....where do I go now?_)
