Good point! The sprayer I have is only 5 L so it took me a good while to get the project tackled. PLUS, with my 3 kids I had to wake up at 5 o'clock on 3 days to get it done without messing up our day. So, YES you are right about the wait and see approach. I guess I'm just antsy to get my soil "back to normal"...I haven't seen any "cotton" since my application. Here's hoping!!!!

Ok--so I need to get hold of a hygrometer...I will say that our basement never smells musty...which is something, considering I live in humid NC! The only water we've had in it came in through some window wells during a serious frog-strangler--7" of rain in 90 minutes. We've had that area re-graded and a drainage system installed, so that should never happen again. As to the tape test--did a forum search--I should put down a 4" x 4" strip, leave it for 48 hours, and then check for moisture under the tape, correct? Do I have to do that in every room--or is it OK to just do it in a couple of places? It is probably worth noting that we are in a terrible drought. The soil moisture levels are MUCH lower than they normally would be. That will affect the way the tape test works, will it not? As well as the humidity test? If I went with laminate--could I lay it directly over the existing tile? What do I do about the few tiles that have gone missing? My real reason for ruling out laminate at the onset of this project was that the local flooring company I've been working with told me that laminate really "wasn't a good idea" below grade. Most folks here put wall to wall carpeting in their finished basements. I don't care for carpet because of the cleaning/allergy aspects. I'm a hard-surfaces kind of girl...though I don't like tile outside of a bathroom. The rest of the house is hardwood, ceramic, or high-end composite (Azrock). Another trick is to highlight and then right click on the word you think you have misspelled. A list will appear with a choice of words that might be the one you were trying to type. I'm not sure tho if this feature is an add-on from Firefox you have to download tho.

Putting a frozen casserole into a 200 degree oven will result in a close to dangerously long time with a temperature too warm to be safe and too cool to be safe....the danger zone. It is recommended that food not spend more than 4 hours at a temperature between 60 and 140 degrees....and that includes time sitting on a serving table and time between making and bring chilled. Whenever I bake a casserole from frozen, I plan on having some extra "juice"....either broth or tomato juice or milk or just plain water. Pasta absorbs a lot of the liquid and will need more when heating from frozen. I put casseroles in a 350 oven covered with foil for 45 minutes....uncover and check temp with an instant read and add more juice....either recover and bake more or leave the foil off to brown the top. Time in the oven depends on how deep you piled the casserole.
