How long after baking soda...

How long after a baking soda appplication should I wait before adding compost and cornmeal? I was thinking about 15 days. And, should they be done at the same time (compost, then cornmeal)? With a rake or spreader?? I had to buy a compost blend because I'm afraid of reindroducing back whatever fungal infection I have from my compost. I bought enough for about 1/4 inch spread--this blend is made from composted corn, wheat, beet, marine algae etc. Plus it also has phosporus, magnesium, calcium, potassium and N (1.2%). It is a "soil regenerator" and must be used and watered within 2 hours of opening the bag. Hope it works to replenish whatever I lost with the baking soda bath!

Thanks.
