That's great news! Our friend John I told you about has had to have his adjusted several times but he's doing fine now and loving it. Glad he's feeling positive! (It'll be good for both of you.)

I had no idea they cost so much, but it's still cheaper and safer than back surgery.

That's good to hear. I know a lady who has one. She used to live across the street from me. It helped her a lot. But like Patti said, they'll need to adjust it to fit his needs.

That's what he misses the most. He is so limited on what he can do with them, they don't understand and want him to play like he used to. This picture was taken a few weeks ago. It was taken a few blocks from our son's house, they were having a yardsale and papa was getting bored and the babies were all over the place. He took them for a walk, he was pushing himself to do this even. I followed along in case I had to chase Seth! I love these pictures I took along the way..this one is my favorite. I put it in the boy's scrapbook. DH loves the picture too but hates to see the weight he's put on! He's always been one to easily maintain his weight. Hopefully after the pain is gone we can resume walking again....I need to walk again also.

Patti he has had 2 back surgeries years ago and it didn't do much but cause scar tissue to build up and cause more pain. He would never go through it again. I think this will be a better alternative...thank God for insurance!

There isn't much in this world that is worse than back pain. I know, just from an accident I had years ago.

I will be keeping him close in thought on October 1st. Once its over and done he will have a blast at the wedding!

I'm hoping he will enjoy the wedding Connie! He will do his best even in pain, he can mask it pretty well...I know how to read him though. I can see the pain he's in. It'll be so nice to see him truly pain free and enjoying himself again. He just wants to stop hurting and get off the meds!

Special thoughts for DH's relief!!!

I know this can't compare to his pain, but both times when I was pregnant, I didn't have awful morning sickness, but a dull ache that lasted most of the day. It got to a point where it really was depressing to know I'd feel like this all the time for months and months. But at least in my case, I knew there was an end in sight (with a happy reward!)

I hope you both are able to be out and about again VERY soon! Cute pic! Poor grandbabies just want to play with their Papa!!

I wish your dh the best of success. I sure hope it helps him to be able to live a more normal life. Poor guy. I feel sorry for him.

Cute grans and cute DH! I'm so excited for you (I mean your whole family). John said it wasn't painful to have the implant and went home that same day. My DH has PAD so I know how you are both feeling about his not having the ability to walk. It's a terrible thing.

Thanks everyone, I jsut can't wait to see this happen for him. The doctor said he will go home the same day and go to work the next. But with the actual implant in him he will have to be home for a week. We've heard nothing but good things about it! Just so happy it's finally happening!

I'm so glad he's getting this opportunity for some relief Vikki. No one should have to go through life in constant pain. When I read about this technique from a website about Jerry Lewis years ago, I thought it might be something my DH or I might consider in the future. We both have chronic back issues and injuries. I'll be happy to hear the updates after his procedure. Wishing him a mound of success and relief.
