They have taken into their loving home two precious girls, age 11 and 8 as their foster children.

Long story, but they are in a loving home for now.

I had them last Sunday, for lunch, and they are so precious

I'm Ms G for them to call me.

Got big hugs from both when they were leaving.

A good feeling. Yes!

They sounds great and maybe they need each other. I hope it's a very good experience. The kids are lucky to have you too.

Janice, My dear I hope I have not caused you any unknown stress!!! I have adopted Ken as my on line son. He, on the other hand, has relucantly acknowledged me and is putting up with me! As you know sonKen sometimes needs to be reminded to relax and not be so serious and all knowing in his remarks to others. I have taken on that responsibility to lighten him up. Not all of us who frequent this forum are as knowledgeable as Ken and he intemidates newbies at times. It's my job as his Mom to pull him back to the real world where we common hosta people live. LOL How well I'm succeeding is still up for grabs!!! Love ya son!!!! monConnie

I spoke to the teen I gave the kitten to today. He was vet checked yesterday and has worms and is underweight but no mites or fleas. He also was tested for Feline leukemia but she didn't get the results yet. Vet said he was closer to six weeks which surprised me since he was so tiny. I'm guessing he doesn't weigh half a pound...maybe 1/3. The teen , Alyssa, has him isolated in her room as the family has three other cats they adopted. I wish I could perform this miracle every day..find a lost kitten, find a good home ,but it seldom works out that way.

Amber im not to good at writting or even trying to explain myself. please bare with me. this is my first time being on this site. I guess i came on here looking for advice. and how to fix the problems.When i was going to put flowers at her grave it was out of respect for her and my husband. But on the inside of my heart It hurts for her and her husband. I guess maybe i expected to much from his kids to say thank you. I realize that everyone has a different way of being. I guess im not sure what i was looking for from them. maybe i wanted to show them that i am a nice person and to just give me a chance is all. I am not here to try and take my husbands wifes place.. all i did was fall in love with someone my husband. I love him very much and there are times i can see him looking very sad and my heart hurts for him because he has lost his life partner. I know he loves me or he wouldnt have married me.. but it was neither of there choices for this to happen.I have been told things from his kids like why dont i go rent the place across the street or like the new pots and pans i got never used yet but i did wash them and his daughter smelled them and said they smelled like fish. or how she went through the freezer and chekced dates of meat in it and said it needed to be cleaned out.. i had only been here in this house 2 weeks. but im also not use to having a freezer the big ones. i was lucky to have a pound of hamambuger in mine. so i did clean it out. then she went through the cuboards and looked at the dates threr were some that were a year old so i got that cleaned out.. then went around saying there is cob webs. she then asked me when my birthday was i told her and she said i will never remember that. each time things are said and done i am not mean to them or rude why because i love my husband im not going to make waves . he loves his kids so i will do what ever i have to so that things will run smooth. his son is addicited to drugs bad i have spent hours with him on the phone telling me he is going to take his life .for 4 years i have been having to put up with this. but i do it.even through it stress me out. he has stole from us alot and im not talking chump change. when his daughter come here the first thing they want to know is what there name is on in case anything happens to there dad. for 4 years i have been telling them they need to talk to him. they talk bad about my husband to me bad things and when they are done they tell me if i say anything to my husband they will deny it. if thats the case why do they need to keep saying things. he is my husband and i love him. they say if you want anything from him just be nice..the only thing i want from my husband is for us to have a good marriage. All the things i do for them i do it because my husband asks me to.. but i am almost at the point where i dont want to.

I had a husband (yes HAD) who always made me be the bad guy to our children. He was Mr Fun. It's not a good way to live. I can't imagine your BF will change if the two of you have any children together. :(

God will certainly bless them for that. It's a huge responsibility...I know...we took in a child as a Foster. She was a student in my class. We later went on to adopt her. Is this their first experience with Fostering?

Thank GOD for foster homes - I was raised in one, along with my sister. Another family took in my 2 brothers. Give your son and wife a hug from me and a big GOD BLESS YOU!

Glenda, first thing I read this morning, and one of first posts since computer back up...how wonderful for these girls. I can tell they will learning immediately, what it is like to have a really nice support G-ma and caring family...bet that handsome grandson of yours will be one of the bestest 'brothers'. Suppose you are planning where you could take them already? I had a foster daughter for few years. Older - 15, same age and 'friend' of my own daughters but too difficult on my DD.

God Bless Them! This is a super good deed and you are one super Grandma to be so accepting and supportive, Ms G. My hubby's brother and his wife did a good deed years ago. Their sons were friends with a boy named Jared. Jared's parents were moving out of state but Jared wanted to stay in his same school. So BIL and wife unofficially "fostered" him for a year. He was treated just like their own son, celebrated Christmas and Birthdays like one of their own. It was beautiful. Jared is now in his 30's and keeps in touch.

Are they sisters? That is wonderful, and I hope all goes well for your family and the girls. Will they be starting school soon? They are lucky to have a fantastic Ms G.

How did the sisters come into care? Is this their first foster home? Have your DS and DIL had any training/support for the demands of their commitment?

DB & DSIL have a little boy living with them right now. He is about 19 months old. Long and sad story, but I give them credit for taking him (he's a relatives child) She is DH's age. (56) I am not sure I'd have the energy to do it. I don't know the legalities of their story, eventually the mother will have a chance to get the little boy back. I know there will be some hearts broken in the end (theirs & the little guy) if/when he leaves.But they have done the right thing for the child.

It's hard to imagine how afraid little children are when they're taken into a new home. It can't be all easy for your DS and DIL either, but I know those girls will hate to leave when and if the time comes.
