I've never done it before. What kinds of things are swapped?

Anything you want. Dollar store items, home made things, etc.... anything that suggests Autumn or Fall. You will write to your new friend and see what she likes and go from there. for more ideas look on pinterest.
Some people have given kitchen towels, bookmarks, candy, placemats, just anything you might like.

You can fill up a mailing envelope or a box it depends on you. Try to keep it light so the postage doesn't out cost the gifts.

we need more players for the swap.

I still use two bookmarkers I got in KT swaps. Wish I could remember who sent them to me. One was laminated with 2 dogs (for Luther and Emily..Luther is gone now), tea cups and flip flops ...along with my name. The other is made out of material and is embroidered with my name and flowers. I read a lot so use them often. ( :

JoAnn, my life is too chaotic at the moment to commit to this swap, but you're so sweet to be organizing it. Hopefully by next summer I'll be able to be more social and join in these fun events.

Over the years at the KT I have received such sweet, and usefull, gifts from spontaneous give-aways/contests - several hand-crocheted nylon scrubbies, two knit dishcloths, and a home-crafted soy candle. They were all delights to use.

The dishcloth lady (?) insisted they be used for their intended purpose - washing dirty dishes! Oh the sacrilege; they were both so lovely and made with such precision. I did use one for ages to wash water glasses only; the other is still serving as a vase/candle/planter mat. It IS being useful and looking at it makes me feel special.
