I have been trying to follow it too. Am I correct in understanding that the child had been missing for a few weeks prior to anyone knowing about it?

I saw this on the cover of the People magazine I just got but I haven't read it yet, but I did catch that the mother waited 5 weeks to notify anyone her daughter was missing?!?!?! That is definitely a red flag. Something is not right. I'd be on the phone IMMEDIATELY, frantic if that were my child! I'm curious to go read the story now.

There was a recorded message between the Brother and Caylee's Mother. Sounded like they were trying to cover something up. I don't get the Grandmother either. Very strange.

I too have been following the story on Nancy Grace's show. Poor little girl - I hope she's found safe!

That story makes me so angry I almost scream.

I've seen her and heard the story on a number of news outlets.

The mother has to be a suspect. Her story is just too ... "off the wall".

She says she knows who took her daughter, just can't locate the woman, doesn't know anything about her but her name, and the woman may be in a number of different states ????

The smell of decomp in the car trunk does not bode well for a happy ending, in my mind.

And I heard that the mother and child lived with Grandma, so for her to not see the child for weeks and weeks is just so bizarre. IF they ever solve this, I think it'll turn out that the child is dead and buried somewhere and Mom knew it or did it and then decided to just party away. Errrg. Some people should not be blessed with children.

This is taking place right here in my town. There are so many twists and turns its unreal!! The mother supposedly made up a bunch of lies including where she worked and only admitted she didn't work there once the investigators brought her there. The apartment she claimed the babysitter lived at has been vacant for 5 months. The grandmother initially reported the daughter stole her car, then called the police back minutes later and told them her granddaughter has been missing for a month. This whole thing is so unbelievably crazy, you know the mother, who was partying during the weeks of her daughters disappearance knows a lot and may be the killer. The decomp odor makes me think it's too late to find the girl alive. Think how many people would have loved to raise that child if the mother didn't want her. I think grandma is in on it and why is it taking so long for the mother to tell what she knows? Nobody believes her stories.

Who has rotted pizza in their car?? And I doubt it smells like a dead body.

Yes she did say that...and that it had been in the car for 12 days with maggots??? Why didn't they clean it out?? If I knew there was rotting, maggot filled pizza in my car I would sure get it out. I'm quite sure it would be out before the maggots developed! What a story this is...I am sick to think about what happened to little Caylee.

Well, the car had been missing for quite some time--supposedly--if that was the case, then I guess no one would have cleaned it.

I have my doubts about the month Caylee was missing before she was reported--the time line just doesn't add up. I think that in reality, whatever happened, happened much closer to the time she was reported missing. I believe her mom and grandma know what happened and have been putting out lies and contradictions in order to confuse things, and make it much harder to find Caylee, and the evidence of what happened to her (and yes, I very much fear she is no longer alive, hasn't been since before she was reported missing, and that her mother either caused her death or is covering up for someone else who did. And grandma--being the controlling narcissist that she is, is orchestrating the coverup. She reminds me so very much of Mrs. Peterson when she speaks. Her Casey can do no wrong--and it's terrible that the country is persecuting (and hopefully PROsecuting) her.

Totally unreal that the girls parents feel the daughter should be let out of jail to help search. I say lock her up and throw away the key. Someone at the pool told me last week that she has a friend who works on the news and they felt the grandma was hiding something. Defintely not a nice person. Total hearsay, but something just isn't right with this story. Next week the results of the testing of what was in the car will be released.
