Yes, I think a nice blouse, sandels, and capris would be fine, especially if the family/wedding is somewhat casual. Put on what you have and have a good time!

If you weren't pg, a heel would be dressy, but you have a good reason to keep close to the ground.

I agree with Toni and Bump. I think it's just fine to wear something like that to a casual wedding. I'm also tired of all the "proper" rules and regulations going around.

I wore pants to the last few weddings I attended, and they didn't kick me out. I vote YES!

Another yes vote from me too. I wore a nice summer pants suit to my last wedding invite. A lot of the women did.

Pants would be better than capris, but under the circumstances, I'm sure no one will fault you for capris. The important thing is to be there!

I would go with a nice pair of slacks or a skirt. Capris may be a bit too casual. It still is a wedding after all. NancyLouise

Pants aren't an option, really. It's going to be VERY hot and humid tomorrow and I don't think I'd survive a whole day in pants.

Sounds like what you have bought will be just fine! We attended a funeral last week where the deceased had requested everyone wear bright colors and very casual clothes. That is what everyone did and all were very comfortable doing it. He had all ladies as pallbearers too. I have already told my family a long time ago to please be very casual in what they wear to my funeral. If anyones goes out and buys new clothes just to wear to my funeral, I am going to come back to haunt them!

I would go with pants. But then I am very anti capris on most anyone. I think most women look awful in them unless they are tall and very slender with really good calves and ankles. I have also seen very teeny-tiny young girls pull them off well. Capris seem to add about 15 lbs. to a woman's rear view otherwise.

I wore capris to the wedding we went to in July, down in Indiana. And I did the mother of the groom dance with the groom (I pretty much raised him).
So, you wear those capris and be comfy.

I attended a wedding last weekend. It was beautiful. The ceremony and dinner were both held in the same room in a lodge at a State park. The bride wore a long ivory gown, complete with train and veil; the groom and best man wore beautiful suits with silk shirts and ties. The matron-of-honor was in a short satin halter dress, and the 12-year-old bridesmaid/ringbear was in a long gown. No other attendants.

I saw female guests who were wearing...long evening dresses (the mothers), short cocktail dresses, cotton sun dresses, skirt and blouse combos, capri's and blouse combos, dressy pant suits, casual pant suits, heels, sandals, cowboy boots, flip flops, and clogs. Most of the men were in dress slacks or khakis and short-sleeved shirts; a few wore suits; a few wore jeans; some wore shorts.

The bride's brother escorted her grandmother into the room. He also greeted all the guests coming in. He was wearing a silky bright print shirt, cargo shorts, heavy sandals, tattoos, a pony-tail, gold hoop earrings, and the happiest smile in the place.

I wore a gauzy, hippy-style, poncho-type blouse attached/layered over a cotton knit camisole type shirt. The gauzy layer has a turquoise, green, cream, and purple pattern with thin gold threads running through them. My slacks were light-weight casual pants. I wore heeled sandals and gold dangle earrings and carried a small beige handbag. I think I was a tad "overdressed."

Normally, I'd say pants or skirt. However, I'm a firm believer that pregnant women should wear what is comfortable and what fits. If that means the only shoes that fit are pink, fuzzy slippers, then that's what you wear. No forcing yourself into something uncomfortable.

I will let many fashion errors slide for pregnant women.

Pants and capris are fine as long as you dress them up with a very feminine blouse and some jewelry. When I went on cruised I saw many women in pants at the "formal" dinners.

Yes, I agree with indy anna-When you are pregnant, be comfortable!!! When I was 8 months pregnant my DH was a groomsmen in 2 different weddings! I found a cute dress and low sandal (maternity clothes selection is the WORST!) and wore to both.

I think Capris will be fine.Eyes won't be on you anyway but on the bride.If anyone is looking who cares as long as you are clean and covered!LOL I think too much is made of what is the "proper" attire for weddings and funerals.I say be comfortable and enjoy yourself in your capris!

I am going to a funeral tomorrow,a young man of 18 who died tragically Wednesday,and I don't think he would mind at all that I am wearing jeans and a nice T shirt.Of course I'll wear my leopard print ballerina flats to make my ensemble a little more dressy.LOL If people don't like what I am wearing they can just look the other way.I would wear the same thing to Church and God hasn't struck me dead yet!LOL

Wear them be comfy and have fun! I fuss too much about what to wear then I get there and someone is wearing what I wanted to wear, once the aunt and uncle of the groom who are from pricey Palm Springs, wore golfing clothes~~~I was grumpy and hot in my pants outfit, wish I had worn capris.

I think dressy-ish black capris would be fine. I wore dressy-ish black capris to a not terribly formal wedding a couple of years ago. I wore a pretty camisole with a crocheted top.

Don't see why wearing "dressy" capris and nice top would be WRONG! You are in style...I go for comfort and being pregnant that's what YOU want! Besides, prodical for guests isn't "so stuffy" anymore!

I live in the Las Vegas area and "anything" is acceptable!

You will be just fine!
