Well, I did not still have the receipt, since they were bought last summer, and I am not sure I would trust them to have the replacements marked correctly anyway. I went to the garden center here in town instead of going back to that other nursery. She had a few very scraggly lychnis chalcedonica (Maltese Cross), which would eventually be the right height, but they were just about done blooming for the year and were only 12 - 15" tall. She didn't have anything else red, not even some annuals. I ended up buying a couple of 'Orange Perfection' tall phlox to fill in the spaces for now. At least I will have something blooming, even though they are much smaller than what was there before. I almost feel guilty admitting this, but it felt really good to dig those plants up today. I have heard so much about them attracting bees, butterflies, and hummers, but the only thing mine were attracting were grasshoppers. I squashed at least 7 or 8 while digging them up. Every day I was finding a half dozen or more on them. There are grasshoppers on the coreopsis and yarrow too, but they don't seem to be eating those plants, just using them for shelter. Maybe now that the bee balm is gone the grasshoppers will move on to someone else's yard.

Sorry, time out for a new baby...I'm finally catching up now!!! Sandi, the cushions will be black and white check on one side and yellow and white check on the other, with the yellow/cherry print for the ties and cording! DH and I go to Arlington fairly often, and maybe she would like to venture down here...we are only about 100 miles south and right on an interstate that she can easily reach! As to the camera...I think I have a solution, but somebody is going to have to help me! DS told me that I can have my 35MM pictures printed to disc and then I should be able to load them some sort of way so that they can be posted. He is going to help me as soon as he has time!

Okay - so the Lenovo gets respect here - but not unilateral. There's still a plug for Toshiba. Raven - you're right - I do want XP. The one I linked to included a downgrade to XP option. At the time I was looking earlier, that's the only option I saw for XP. Since reading your post, I've noticed Lenovo's with preinstalled XP at Newegg and Tigerdirect, I think. Or maybe it was also at Best Buy. I don't want to get involvd in having preinstalled Vista - and then switching it myself to XP. If that were within my capabilities, I would have switched my husband's operating system from Vista to XP. But from what I read here and elsewhere, it's a huge undertaking - that might leave some problems in the end. Thanks for telling me that this really is a good time to buy. I'll be researching over the next week. In the end, I think prices are low enough - and my inexperience high enough, that I'm better off buying new and not dealing with potential ripoffs and how many new things I would need to do to check out a used laptop thoroughly. I probably could do it if I had to (based on your detailed instructions on the other thread) - but I could imagine that taking a long, long time. And if the first laptop isn't good, it could be quite a time killer to search for several. I did note that Lenovo's come in a huge range of prices and options - from many $600 units - up to the seeming popular T61P thinkpad for about $1700.

Even with the longer than normal shopping and shipping time with this swap I'm on the tale end of shipping. I'll be sending mine tomorrow, Friday at the latest. I made the mistake of hoping something would arrive ON TIME. I've moved on to plan B. David
