Wrapped, boxed, addressed and delivered to the post office. Priority mail with delivery confirmation going to....oh yeah, almost forgot it's a secret! But mine is off and running!

Mine was sent yesterday. Sorry partner I was visiting the grandkids and YOU weren't the priority until I came back. (There's no good shopping in Fairbault, MN.)

I sent two, too, and I think my poor partner might not be happy with the packing material, there's so much of it (Vicki packed them... I'll blame her). Just that there were a few breakable things and I wanted them to arrive as safely as possible! And I did not mark 1 of 2 or 2 or 2. :( In fact, if they don't arrive together, one of them has no info in it at all. How lame am I? My return address is on it, though, and I am D. Lundin, after all...

Oh boy! I am so glad it finally arrived! This is the all time greatest book of Italian bread and pastry. The method of making the starter will make a bread that is better than any crusty bread you would find in the Bronx, NY. Deanna, the recipe for Ciabatta on page 106 is wonderful - you will impress your friends! Also, my favorite biscotti recipe is on page 409(I usually double the recipe)- I add the grated zest of one orange and 1/2 teaspoon of orange extract too...also, biscotti are great with a native to your area dessert wine....and there is the Panettone and Pandoro recipes to try...Carol Field is a wonderful writer-she really shares her love of Italian baking through the history and research to the reader. My Nonna was a great bread baker - from little "bird's" she made that held hard boiled eggs for Easter to her pane d'casa...many of these recipes recipes remind me of her. Even with the longer than normal shopping and shipping time with this swap I'm on the tale end of shipping. I'll be sending mine tomorrow, Friday at the latest. I made the mistake of hoping something would arrive ON TIME. I've moved on to plan B.
