Wrapped, boxed, addressed and delivered to the post office. Priority mail with delivery confirmation going to....oh yeah, almost forgot it's a secret! But mine is off and running!

Mine was sent yesterday. Sorry partner I was visiting the grandkids and YOU weren't the priority until I came back. (There's no good shopping in Fairbault, MN.)

We have a puppy that thinks it is fun to play keep away with anything daylily he might run across. With the new fence, we ended up enclosing about 20 plants - with the idea that I would dig them up and move them once the weather cooled off. Nudge (the puppy) came in the house with a mature unopened bud and paraded around the house as if to show off his prize. Might have to move up the date of the relocation project. Shelly

Oh boy! I am so glad it finally arrived! This is the all time greatest book of Italian bread and pastry. The method of making the starter will make a bread that is better than any crusty bread you would find in the Bronx, NY. Deanna, the recipe for Ciabatta on page 106 is wonderful - you will impress your friends! Also, my favorite biscotti recipe is on page 409(I usually double the recipe)- I add the grated zest of one orange and 1/2 teaspoon of orange extract too...also, biscotti are great with a native to your area dessert wine....and there is the Panettone and Pandoro recipes to try...Carol Field is a wonderful writer-she really shares her love of Italian baking through the history and research to the reader. My Nonna was a great bread baker - from little "bird's" she made that held hard boiled eggs for Easter to her pane d'casa...many of these recipes recipes remind me of her. Even with the longer than normal shopping and shipping time with this swap I'm on the tale end of shipping. I'll be sending mine tomorrow, Friday at the latest. I made the mistake of hoping something would arrive ON TIME. I've moved on to plan B.
