WANTED: Here come 2 packages!

I wanted to mail yesterday, but suddenly, there was something crucial I needed before mailing. Sigh.

That was obtained and I started packaging. Uh oh, the box is too small. Well, it probably wouldn't have been except there was a breakable item and I wanted it well packed and there were a lot of peanuts and bubble wrap...

My package became two packages. I've labelled them "1 of 2" and "2 of 2". They aren't spaced for any reason, I'm not as creative as Gina. LOL I mailed them both today, at the same time, which means they'll arrive a week apart, probably.

Anyway, here it comes, it's going....what way is that? East? West? Maybe a little on the diagonal and then...

Ah, well. I'm directionally challenged. Swap partner, here it comes.

Maybe you can send them in two directions and they'll meet in the middle. I swear, Annie, it's the heat, my brain is curling up into slinkies.

So we have to wait now and see what miss annie packed. Maybe Amanda's prize-winning rhubarb pie, yeah that would be great.

Well, I can tell you what I didn't pack. The letter. Sheesh. I had to grab a sheet of paper and write a quick note, then unseal the tape and stick it in the box before I mailed it. The letter is at home, on the table, where every single letter I've ever written to accompany a box is. Sigh.

Sorry, Dianna55... IT'S ME! IT'S ME! Thank you Donna (Lackboys3). When the FedEx truck was coming down the street, I just knew that for once it wouldn't be computer parts for DH or yet another present from a grandparent for DS, but for ME! How did you know that I broke the handle off my last favorite oversized mediterranean yellow coffee mug (I had already broken the other one in the pair) this past weekend? I almost went shopping for replacement mugs, but I showed great restraint and kept my shopping to my swap partner only. Thank you for a gorgeous pair of replacements. And the coffee and the spoons and the book to go with it. This is so much fun! Did you know that manatees are my most favorite sea creature of all? (DS will love the cookies too!) A favorite book of his that we have to sing/read with great regularity, is "I'm a Manatee" by John Lithgow. I mean, how can you not love lyrics like... I'm a manatee, I'm a manatee. I'm every bit as wrinkled as my grann-atee. No difference between my face and fann-atee. A noble manatee, That's me. Thank you again, Donna, for such a wonderful swap package. Ann PS... Kayaks have pointy ends, front and back, and the paddles (not oars) have blades on both ends. But I really like your drawing! Have you thought of a new career as an illustrator?

Yeah Gina fess up where around here did you get that turkey sculpture. If River says the linens are good, I believe her. She has cred on that one. I get yogurt that comes in a 6 pack (from the milkman). DH usually eats the vanilla & I eat the strawberry & raspberry. He's gone to Korea for a while and I discovered vanilla yogurt just isn't my favorite flavor, BUT take 4 8oz cups of it, mix 1 cup of milk and freeze it in the Cuisinart, top it with some warm strawberry sauce and it's like a whole 'nuther food! Don't bother with the chocolate (yogurt) recipe in the book though, it wasn't good. I bought mine on Craigslist (the lady bought it on sale at Macy's but had never taken it out of the box so she sold it for $25). That one goes on my "good purchases" list for sure.

I can't wait to see what Annie sent too. ... I thought I hit the jackpot today. The UPS guy left FOUR packages on my porch... none were my swap package.

I sent two, too, and I think my poor partner might not be happy with the packing material, there's so much of it (Vicki packed them... I'll blame her). Just that there were a few breakable things and I wanted them to arrive as safely as possible!

And I did not mark 1 of 2 or 2 or 2. :( In fact, if they don't arrive together, one of them has no info in it at all. How lame am I? My return address is on it, though, and I am D. Lundin, after all...

Diana, I am so glad it's not just me. I wanted to make sure my swap partner didn't open one box and not know that another one was on the way, especially since I packed half of one item in one box and half in another. LOL
