Oh What a cute & fun table for DGD! She's going to have a ball seeing everything. Your DD bought you so many pretty things and it's so nice that you have your DM's cute bunnies to add to everything. Love your layered dishes with the placemats and napkin rings. The egg wreath and the glass dome was a nice idea for the CP and adding the hat on the bunny will, I'm sure make DGD want to take that one home too, now that she sees bunny wearing it! I'm so happy you get to enjoy your DGD for a couple of days. Enjoy your special time together...try to behave and not to get 'too silly' ! lol jane

1. There will be a sense of disconnection Smartphones have dramatically changed the way we communicate with other people. They made it easier and more accessible. Technology used to limit us as we were forced to languish in front of a landline while waiting for a call. Today people have become much closer to each other. Now, in order to talk with the desired person, a couple of touches on the smartphone are enough. However, the absence of this miracle gadget will make you feel separated from the world, which often leads to an acute feeling of loneliness. In addition, you may succumb to incessant boredom. 2. It will become harder to navigate without GPS The days of people using maps to get to the right place are almost gone. All smartphones are equipped with GPS, which helps us to reach our destination without much difficulty and wandering. Life has actually become much easier thanks to GPS, because this navigator shows us the right direction right down to the smallest turn. Therefore, in the absence of access to the global system, many people will not be able to correctly and quickly navigate in an unfamiliar area. Navigators have become such an integral part of our lives that most travel enthusiasts and those who often go on business trips can hardly imagine their lives without a smartphone with its indispensable GPS.

Have not read entire thread so forgive me if I am suggesting/asking stuff already covered. Not sure what area you are in but do you have good cell coverage? Could you do without a landline? Can you get internet thru satellite or cable? When I had small kids I would not give up landline in case of 911 emergencies. When they got to where I thought they could accurately report address I dropped landline and we all have cells as well as an emergency cell that is pay as you go. It is charged and sits in kitchen. Also a couple years ago our area allowed us to voluntarily register our cell numbers with our address. I have since made 911 calls and they asked are you calling from home and able to then connect us to our address. I know that I really like the savings! Best of luck in your new home. Again, if you have small kids the cheapest landline might be a good idea. Maybe this really isn't about what you are asking but just my thoughts.

No, it did not sound as if your friend was one of those who was threatened to be killed by her hoarding. Not all are like that. I have seen people who just resort to shopping as a crutch when life happens. As a person who is devoted to an uncluttered lifestyle, I struggle with my daughters house. I have to almost tie my hands when I go there. Her life is so full with commuting, career and family that I cannot help but see, that if her home was less cluttered it would be so much easier to manage. They are not really hoarders. They are clutterers. Even just putting anything away is twice the chore it ought to be because so much has to be juggled. Most of that juggling is so totally unnecessary if they would only cull out the useless from the useful. Everything is a balancing and juggling act. Why? Meanwhile, it grieves me to see her so strung out and stressed so much of the time when I know how true it is that clearing the clutter and having a more organized environment makes the chores of life and family flow so much smoother. They really need some calm and order in their lives.

That would be an incredible photo if taken with a "regular" digital camera, but to have taken it with a cell phone camera is truly amazing! You, your daughter, and your granddaughter should all be very proud!

Great shot! Hard to believe a camera phone could take that kind of picture. What kind does she have? I need to upgrade my phone but can't decide which one to get.

I'll find out, Linda. She just got a new phone, so I'm guessing the camera is a cut above the older variety. I'll let you know.

Okay I got the name of her phone. The brand is LG, and the model is enV Touch. She bought it through Verizon. Here's a link to a review.

As for Liz's review, she says, "I love love love this phone!"

The specs say "With a resolution of 3.2 megapixels, this model will give you better pictures than other phones." That is the key when looking for a cell phone with good picture taking capability.

It see it even takes sepia photos. Cool.

I have the LG Voyager(verizon), and it takes equally cool pictures and video.
