Have not heard for a few days. Hope all is well. Where are you now?

They are in Traverse City, MI right now, and after spending several more days in Michigan, they will be spending time in Minnesota before starting the trip home. They will get back to AZ on July 30.

They have had an awesome trip, and DH and I were thrilled that they were here with us for several days (and cousin Timm also). They are truly some of the nicest people on earth!

I am looking forward to spending some time with them later this month when they are here in Iowa.

Man, it's time to lose 20 lbs. and get a face lift. Ick! I have that "deer in the headlights" looks because Nita reminded us not to blink LOL! Ruthie you are right. Mike is so nice. He and Nita are the perfect couple. Joann, we wish you could've been here, too. We'll have to plan earlier next year. BTW, that wall is not orange (in the picture of the guys). It's the same color as the wall behind us girls.

We had a great time!! I am so happy that I finally got to meet you Anne, you are so bubbly and sweet. The strawberry shortcake that you brought was devine. I loved the custard in it, never had it that way. Dances, we really enjoyed everything you made. I especially liked the white lasagne, had never had that before. It really tasted a lot like chicken enchiladas. Thanks again for inviting us into your home. Remember you are always welcome to come visit us in Arizona. Just let me know ahead of time so I will be sure to be home. LOL I loved all your your pets but that Capt'n Jack was just too sweet for words. Too bad they have to grow up so fast. We had an uneventful border crossing yesterday and made it all the way across Michigan where we are visiting motorcycle friends for a couple of days.

My gathering with the old guys and wives is to be on the 27th - at that Hilltop restaurant on the west edge of London, to which I referred. I told the coordinator this morning that I might not be going ... and he wondered what could have come up to displace a plan that's running for all year. I told him that it was a meeting with some folks/friends that I'd met on the internet ... and one popular lady was from Arizona, so it was a one-time only opportunity. I'm thinking of suggesting that the lady that I usually go with go anyway,suggesting to anyone who asks that Ed isn't all there, today (if you'll pardon the expression). Actually ... the coordinator was running around at the close of the meeting looking for his list, and I don't think that he found it ... ... so maybe even he isn't sure how many will be "all there" at the crucial time ... ... with or without wives! Since there's to be a gathering with the Windsor folks, and Iva Mae isn't expecting to be available, and I'm free to travel, would it be better to plan a meeting in Woodstock ... Brantford ... Hamilton, which would make it easier for folks in and around Toronto to attend? Perhaps it could be earlier, after Niagara Falls and before Nita and Mike come to the campground near London? ole joyful

thank goodness sam's club novi mi wasn't that flooded but I refused to get out till it was almost over..by then, they'd opened a side door with a bit more shelter...dh was stuck in the covered section till the guy in front of him left, so told him to stay put and made a fast run thru....thank goodness it had stopped...now it's started a more gentle rain tonight...

Hello!
I do read once in a great while, but haven't added my 2 cents for so long that it would only be worth about a half a cent by now!

Nita and Mike are planning on being here in St Cloud, MN from the 20th to the 24th. We are looking forward to visiting again. I think they are planning on heading toward home (with a couple stops on the way) from St Cloud.

I met them a couple of years ago. They are sooo nice. Of course, they met me at one of my worst times. My son and I met them for a bit one afternoon, had a little lunch. Then the next day, they came to the hospital when I was starting my second round of inpatient chemo, and I wasn't at my best. Awfully cranky! lol

If DH's health was better we would meet you in St. Cloud as we are only about 10 hours west, but with his cancer etc don't dare go too far from medical. I do know there is a good restruarant off of 94 and the Holiday Inn Express and truck stop. We ate there about 2 years ago, a steak house, expensive but oh so good.

I had a great time visiting with Mike and Nita when they were here last week. Good people.

Hi Judy! I miss you. I was thinking about you just the other day.

I wish I would have been able to go up to either Niagara Falls or Windsor when they were there. If they come down thru Ohio to go west maybe I could make it, as I am back home again. Or even southern MI.
