Where can I get a tassel for my purse?

I already did a purse thread but just in case others don't use Vera Bradley, maybe someone can help me out.

I want a tassel to hang on my purses. Below is a picture of a purse with a tassel.

I did a web search and can't find any. Anyone know of an online store that sells them?

Look at this tassel on the left side of the purse, it's so cute! lol. And I'm too clumsy to make them.

If you have any craft fairs in your area, find someone who does bead work and they cany make you one. Or check the newspapers or phone book for bead makers. It should be easy to make.

Hi Shelly, Since you're in SoCal you can probably get in touch with Diane Gotti and she can graft it for you. I know Florida Colors also does grafting if you send them your cutting. I haven't heard of a plumeria rooting service yet (maybe there should be one!). Of course if you're not feeling gun-shy about rooting anymore, you could give it another try. Remember to let it callous for at least 2 weeks before you pot it up. Use well drained mix and bottom heat if temps get below 60F. PS: That sounds like a lovely plant, do you have a picture of its blooms? Too bad her tree is still small but she seems very generous in sharing some cuttings with you :-) Kenny

talley_sue, I typed in "wallet purse" into Google and got pages. The *first one on the list* was this one: http://www.bagglady.com/Wallet_purses.html It looks kind of clunky to me but if you go to http://www.nextag.com/wallet-purse/search-html (#2 on the Google search) you can browse through wallet purses of all sorts. Most are the "wallet on a string thingy" though but they do have the larger wallet purses. ******* Someone earlier mentioned useing a mens style wallet to reduce bulk in a purse. I would suggest rather getting what is known as a 'European slide wallet'. I have one and they are very thin and lightweight. They look good becasue they are made of very thin leather rather than nylon which looks too sporty for my tastes. They can be slipped into the inside pocket of a suit or slid into the back pocket of jeans or into the tiny inside pocket of a purse. They come in colors. What is nice about slide wallets is that they have a *zippered coin compartment*, something that mens wallets do not have. This is an example of how they look but is not the one I have. I tried Google, click on maps, put in your exact street address. I did it for my close friends and relatives, for one the detail was so good you could see his roof-top skylites were open. At my house you could see our backyard pool. (Now gone).Not sure if this is whsat you want,Kim. I'd be interested to see if there are other ways.

I have the Chef King griddle that works well on my bridged induction but it is heavy. Cuisinart has a Mult Clad Pro induction capable griddle on Amazon and on their website that might work for you. It is fairly new.

Do a search for cell phone jewelry or cell phone charms. But about anything, even an old earring could probably work for you.

Lynn, that is exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you! Had I not seen the charms I was going to order beaded keychains.

I'm pretty conservative in my choice of purses, I don't like "bling" but I do like the idea of charms on the side. They kind of add a feminine touch to the purse.

I never even thought to look at cell phone jewelry. lol

Can you try to make your own? Just get some beads you like and play around with it.

You might also want to look at the Mirror Charms on eBay! They go on the rear view mirror, but I'm sure they could be adapted to use on a purse!

I shoulda never went there...I fell in love with the Dragonfly one! lol

Okleyok-I make those,or should I say,have made them in the past.Haven't had much time to do anything like that for the past year or so.I did get my son to bring my beads and stuff from TX when they came up a couple of months ago and plan to start doing something with them soon.I have a crystal one hanging on my purse at the moment that I made out of crystal beads from an old necklace of my mother's.
As other's have mentioned,there are lots of them out there but if you can't find one you like let me know and I would be happy to make you one.

I think these will be nice Christmas gifts for the women in my family.

I guess I'm officially old. These things obviously have been around forever and I'm late to the party. As usual. lol

Just another thought! Check garage sale, thrift shops etc for cheap purses and cut off the tassels and toss the purse.
