I got a climbing Oklahoma by just not pruning my hybrid tea. It is now up under the eaves of the house. That would make it about 10 feet tall. I actually just wanted a hybrid tea bush.

Cena, Like Cpawl, I got a huge one a few years ago (when EA was offering them) and it just got so big that I whacked mine up this summer. They do usually root in water, but I always have trouble getting water roots to adapt to soil. So my favorite way to root them is to take a handfull of cuttings and stick the base of the stems in a baggie full of wet sphagnum moss, then clip it closed around the stems with the foliage sticking out the top. If the sphag starts to dry out, open it to re-wet it (I spray it with some VF-11 water.) Within a few weeks, the bag is full of roots! Then I just shake off any excess sphag and plant them in the regular soil I use. The key to multiflora is not to let it get even a little dry. In your climate, it would probably take water almost every day! Denise in Omaha

Just curious thanks GG, especially in the context of being too cold to ship plants to where you are or not. Serious cold kicked in to NYC today, 30s, w/ windchill in 20s. I've been sick so stayed in today playing w/ plants, cleaning up lots of pots, quilting, & then OOPS!! My Bldg's alternate energy sources (generators) pooped out at 7:30 pm. Too early to sleep so I came all the way outside to find Internet to play. No more Hoyas for me 'til Spring I think -- Happy Holidays everybody!!

My Larissa was from Roses Unlimited in 2013, so it's worth emailing to see if they have it this season. They do only own-root roses. It has survived well, but it's a teensy thing- Oldrosarian it's good to hear that even in your more congenial location it's still small. Cynthia
