Something I'd Like To Share! (2 Pictures)

I've been part of a small group of internet buddies for years. They had all known about Ronnie's diagnoses and walked the whole journey with us (as a lot of you did).

So,yesterday my mailman knocks and hands me a package. I opened it and this is what I found! They'd all pitched in together (and even enlisted Andy's help with a picture) and got this wonderful locket for me! Needless to say...I sat on the porch bawling like a baby! I was so touched...I just had to share with everyone here!!

Thank you, God spoke through you to me. I lost my husband Tuesday (6/15/10) suddenly to a massive heart attack, he was 55 yrs old and we were married 34 yrs. We always said we complimented each other. When one was down the other picked them up. I "will" search for those positive things he brought out in me and do something positive with them as God brings them to my memory. Bless you

Cheaper and less intrusive: Picture-rail molding that uses metal hooks (some can be very decorative, like Victorian styling, which I believe is where the use of picture-rail molding started). The molding itself can be wood and painted the same color as the wall, and the main thing is that the framed art hangs from the rail, so no nail-pounding and nail-hole-patching. There's a lot of stuff about this method online, so it's easy to Google it and find photos. (You could also do an accent wall with this--special color wall, different color wood rail.) I think the difference between this technique and the website you linked to is that the latter seems more commercial contemporary-art-gallery with all the metal and would require a whole lotta component hardware pieces. And any handyman could put up a wood picture rail.

You were a beautiful couple! The locket is just gorgeous - could you ask where they got it? I am thinking that this would be a great gift to give Gary's sisters (he died in April of 2007). I thought about the memory bears, but I like this item better!

I have one that my Dad gave one year for St Valentine's Day
it contains he and my mother's pictures. He told me my mother sang a song about a picture locket to me before she died (I was 2).
