Days Of Our Lives

Does anyone watch this soap? It was my favorite soap for years. When I went back to work, I missed it. Since I have been home I have seen bits and pieces of it. I have Webtv, so the tv is my screen. I usually have time around 1 to go on my web. When I turn on the tv, that soap is on. It is amazing to see most of the same actors are on it. Here is my question. Why is Hope trying to kill Beau? Has she been possessed by some evil person, or is this an evil twin?

Thank you Lillie. I haven't watched Soaps in so long that I didn't think about that site. Now I remember why I stopped watching DOL and the other soaps.

Good job Karen! I tried to search for the very first segment, but it must be bumped off the site now. So this is only the story of Gomer and Margie, which have had quite the adventures of their own.

I Soooooooo agree with you Debby!!! They say they LoVe each other???????? How the heck would they know that, they ONLY spend time together argueing about 'this can't happen'...'no, we can't do this'...bla bla bla! I am really tired of both of them. And did anyone not guess what Nicole was going to do with Mia's baby??? Hmmm how long will it take for the baby to have health issues and it is found out that it doesn't belong to Nicole??? 3 months??? But yes...I will tune in tomorrow and every other weekday that it is on. LOL "/

1. My decision to go to college and my committment to do it. I was 25, tired of working in restaurants. During this time I was in my first marriage. 2. My first divorce. I finally stood up for myself, and got out, of an abusive relationship. Poor, worked three jobs, and still continued going to school. 3. Second marriage, divorce, my dad died, and I was laid off my job, all in three months, except the marriage. I was really suprised at my second divorce. We had dated five years, it only lasted as a marriage for 1 1/2 years. The death of my father really got me. We were not close. I grew up military. And he was always gone. When he was home, it was always so awkward. As a family unit, we had learned to live without him. That was a big sadness to him and the family. My parents divorced when I was 17, and he had retired. It was something that could never be recaptured. I never cried so hard in my life, except at his service. I have a military flag given to me, folded, in its triangle. Its been 15 years. I would like to donate it and see it flown. Whew. the memories. Job layoff. Months of agony and torture, knowing it was going to happen. My frugal lifestyle paid off. I was well prepared. I also received a separation package. I took a three day vacation and then I had one class left to finish my degree. It was summer, and I did. 4. After six months of unemployment, while I finished my degree, I find the most perfect job. And ten years later, I am still there. 5. I bought a house, eight years ago. My biggest dream of all. 6. Helping my mother. She does not drive here in the big city, only within 3 miles of her house. So, I bring her to dr appts, give advice (a role reversal), and generally looking over that no one takes advantage. 7. My vulnerability. As when my home was broke into. It has let me know my strengths, weakness, and what is important to me.

Never watched the show, but because of once upon time being a soap fan I have heard of her. She has a very pretty voice.

lol My mother watched THAT soap when I was growing up...."Like sand through the hour glass sooooooooooo are the Days of Our Lives". Hope looks under weight? DOOL.....

That's the only one I watch. Hope is taking sleeping meds and turns into I think "Gina" or something like that. Whatever the evil Hope was while she was captive of Steffano years ago. I haven't caught all the shows. I think her subconscious hated Beau and the Evil twin wants to kill him...

What do the regular actors do, like Marlena charactor, do when not on the show for long periods of time. Do they stop getting a pay check? Go on unemployment? Get a smaller amount of pay to keep them around? Maybe in contract negotiations?

Yikes--Hope looks positively gaunt! My parents (in Florida) and I (in PA) were quite addicted to DOOL back in the 80's. In fact, just last night I came across a note my daughter Suzanne wrote me from camp asking how the family was, and the pets, "and what's happening on DOOL?" LOL

The actress who plays Hope--I remember that she got married and moved to the Bahamas or some such island. Then what happened? Did she get divorced and come back? I don't think she's ever done any other acting work. I suppose none of them have. Anyway, what's her story? Does she have any kids? "Victor's" real-life daughter certainly has done well for herself. :-)

Izzie....Marlena is not on the show anymore. A lot of the old characters are gone.

I agree, Hope is a little too thin. I thought she has always been a pretty woman though.

I have watched that stupid (lol) show for a VERY long time. I remember being in grade school, and coming home for lunch, my mom would be watching it. It was only a half hour long then. I still watch most of the time.

I watched from the 60's to the 80's and then they finally put cable in my neighborhood and as soon as there was something else to watch, I moved on. I remember one Valentine's Day all of the soaps had weddings. I had some soap fans over and we had a "wedding reception" at my house, watching all the weddings. Everyone brought their wedding albums and we perused through them. Served "wedding soup" and Bon Bons. LOL Oh and I decorated the staircase with white garlands and wedding bells and hearts on the wreath over the fireplace. sic sic sic
