I'm just not so sure about Casey. There is much more going on there than we know. The dad just blew his credibility when he lied about the girlfriend. I'm wondering if Casey is taking the hit for her dad letting the baby drown. The whole thing is so mixed up and confusing. I'm betting that after all this there will be a hung jury.

I doubt that very much, George loved that little girl, if she would have drowned he would have called 911.

After yesterday's rebuttal the prosecution left no doubt in my mind who killed Caylee and it wasn't George. I hope that Cindy will not be charged with perjury. She's been through enough. As a mom I understand why she lied to protect her daughter. It was wrong, but again, I understand.

I think Holloway is an opportunist and sadly we will be seeing lots more of her. Part of me believes that there was some type of relationship between George and Holloway, but in no way does that make him a killer.

I wonder if the the Anthony marriage will survive all of this. I hope so.

I agree with Matti,except I don"t think George had an affair, I believe he has been truthfull the whole time.
It is so sad that Cindy felt she had to lie in order to protect her daughter.
I feel certain that Casey, and Casey alone caused the death of that little girl. It may or may have not been premeditated, but it was at her hands.
It is obvious that Casey is a scicopath, and a pathological liar. I think she knows right from wrong, however she only thinks about herself, and does not care who she hurts. I also don"t believe she was ever abused by either her father or her brother.

Just to clarify, I did not say he had an affair, I said he had some type of relationship. He did admit to going to her home on a few occasions. It may have been that he needed someone to talk to who was not heavily involved in the case and he and Holloway were just good friends. As I said, I think Holloway is an opportunist.

I think I could believe the accident theory. Like this: Casey gave Caylee chloroform to get her to sleep, and put the tape over her mouth and nose, so she couldn't cry or call out if she woke up. Then put her in the trunk of the car. When Casey got back from her partying Caylee had died, by suffocation. So that would be "accidental." Casey left her in the car while she figured out what to do. Then she buried her.

I also hope Cindy won't be charged with perjury. As to George, obviously there is proof he went to Holloway's apartment, but just because she says they were intimate, doesn't mean they were. She could lye as well as George.

The whole drowning thing is just a ridiculous idea that Baez came up with.

Holloway doesn't have a lot of credibility--she's got quite a checkered past. The things she said didn't ring true to me. George no doubt befriended her, and leaned on her. But I find most of what she said suspect--mainly because she didn't come across as believable.

Casey was hanging around with some really dangerous types, doing some seriously dangerous things--check out some of the photos of her online that you probably HAVEN'T seen. I would go so far as to guess that she maybe was influenced by some of her creepy friends, but I believe she, and she alone was the one who killed Caylee and disposed over her.

Cindy? I'm sorry, but I cannot agree about the purjury thing. Our entire justice system breaks down if we make excuses for people who decide they're above the requirement to take the oath in court. There's NO excuse for lying in court. I'd offer this--she should be charged and convicted of purjury--after all she lied to the court, with the entire country watching her. BUT the judge could give her a suspended sentence, based on sympathy and understanding. That way, the crime has been addressed, and we're not setting a bad precedent.

However, has anyone else noticed HOW Cindy takes the oath? After it's read, she says, in a rather sarcastic voice, "So help me God, yes". First time I heard her, long before she lied about the computer searches, I thought to myself it sounded as if she was a woman who had lost her faith, and felt that response gave her a free pass since she felt there was no god anyway.

The only thing I know about Diane Downs is from the made for TV movie starring Farah Faucette (sp?) It was horrifying and compelling, wondering how a mother could do something like this to her own children. As for Casey, I still believe she killed her precious little girl, probably by accident, but as a result of a stupid reckless act. I have mixed feelings about what I hope happens to her, Life in prison, but then she seems like such a non-caring person, why should I care if she dies. Also I think Azzalea had it right on how Cindy's perjury should be handled. I don't think it can just be ignored.

I saw the Downs show last night and thought the same thing. So similar. I think Casey killed her daughter..accidentally or on purpose and Cindy should be brought up on perjury charges. That is one messed up family. I can see why George wanted to end it all...

Many believe that Cindy will not face charges. I agree 100% with Azalea. If everyone lied in court, there would be no point in having witnesses. Cindy lied to get the premeditation (death penalty) off the table. Even if she isn't charged, I believe karma will get her-the proof of her lying about those searches prove the Casey was on the computer and did premeditate. Even if the jury feels it was accidental because of the chloroform-that would be aggravated child abuse resulting in a death-same penalty. Personally I think Lee knows what happened. I think Casey told him after the fact and he may of helped her in some way. One more thing about Cindy-lying and saying she called George about the pool ladder being left up takes a drowning possibility remote. Yes, she lied to save her daughter, but who is sticking up for the grand daughter, I think George is credible. Big deal even if he had an affair, he's not deflecting blame off Casey.

I haven't been paying that much attention to the case until recently. However I hope Cindy gets jail time for perjury. Sorry - she knew what she was doing and stupidly went ahead and lied. Now it's time for her punishment too.

All the men on tv that was accused of having an affair said no way later found out they all did.

The "affair", according to an interview I saw yesterday, lasted about 2 weeks, with less than an handful of visits. For some reason, he then stopped going to her place, stopped calling, and only texted her.
I'm betting that Cindy caught on and squashed that one.

I live in Central FL, and usually only watch the new "wrap-up". I believe Casey killed Caley, and hope she pays the consequences.

As far as Cindy lying, her lawyer was on the local news last night and said Cindy stands by her testimony. But he went on to say that both George and Cindy just want to know what happened to Caley, but since Casey won't be testifying, they will never know the truth. So even Casey's parents believe she killed Caley, whether intentionally or not.

I believe that George Anthony needed someone to talk with at the same time that the woman came up with a sob story about having major problems. And they talked; that's all. I do not believe they had a sexual relationship.

I think the mother should be charged with perjury because she lied under oath to tell the truth.

I do not believe she was abused by her father and/or her brother.

I believe Cayce killed her daughter and disposed of the child's body without help from family members.

It's amazing how she can sit there with an angry pout on her face during her parents' testimonies.

She appears to be without remorse for her actions and is a pathological liar.

I thought the Prosecution's closing arguements were "right on" and well presented. He reminded me of some of the points I had forgotten:

Cayce borrowed the neighbor's shovel.
George Anthony describing the smell coming from his daughter's car.
The matching duffel bag to the one Cayle was found in was in the family home.
The "forced" kidnapping.

I know how I'd be voting if I were on the jury. Now we have to wait and see how those 12 people feel.

Right from the beginning, I thought Casey had killed this little girl...There is no way a mother would act the way she did if her daughter was in deed missing...She knew exactly where she was...
As far as Cindy, being a nurse, she didn't have to find any more information and she would have used correct spelling...
And, George, I think he needed someone to talk to and maybe this woman thought it was more...Sounds like a woman scorned..
And I agree, if we knew about all the affairs going on, we'd all be in shock....
I think the whole Anthony family is weird but I do believe the grand parents loved that little girl.....

I don't believe the testimony of anyone in this case. Casey is a true Sociopath (amoral, incapable of emotion). I am shocked Casey never testified. The defense has to prove a rasonable doubt. I don't think that will happen. She will be convicted and I hope she gets life. Which is the one thing she stole from Caylee.

I agree about Cindy, she needs to be charged with perjury and she needs to be prosecuted. I too think that Casey killed that sweet child, most likely an accident but I doubt that she felt any remorse. When they show photos of her I don't see any emotion in her eyes, I don't think she has a soul.

I don't doubt that George was open for an emotional affair, it appears that he needed a place to turn, someone to confide in and who would listen to him. I doubt that Cindy provided that to him. I fully expect that family will disintegrate when this is over, actually I think it had pretty much done so well before. They seem to define dysfunctional.

I agree with azzalea ....you must tell the truth on the stand..or be punished. I agree with lynn_d...with all your comments about George and the family. He was the only one in the family with feelings....Cindy seems like a controlling person...but, did not control her daughter at all...I think she spoiled her and let her get away with so much even murder. This is a family that will definitely have a melt down. How could Casey accuse her father of so many evil things and keep a straight face...I think she should be put to death or life without parole.

Remember Susan Smith...she killed her children by driving the car into the water and drowning them because she wanted to be single and have fun and no responsibility...These girls are losers.....

I have a feeling Cindy was in the same position I am with my DIL - if I try to 'control' Amber, she won't let me see my grandkids for a week or two - until she needs a babysitter.

I think that's part of the reason Caylee is deceased - Cindy told Casey she was going to have to start staying home and acting like a mother and that didn't suit Casey - they had a fight and Casey decided 'I'll show her'! Lee testified that he asked Casey why she wouldn't let Cindy see Caylee and Casey said 'maybe because I'm a spiteful bi*ch'.

Casey wrote in her diary that she felt she made the right decision and was satisfied that she did the right thing. She didn't write out what the decision was, but I think it's fair to surmise she was talking about her decision to eliminate Caylee.

I don't buy Crystal Holloway's story at all. You could tell from her body language that she was lying. And I found her to be fake. Besides, even 'if' George had an affair, I don't know how that has anything to do with his granddaughter's murder.

Without watching the coverage and just hearing news snippets, this was by first gut feeling when I heard about the Holloway story. I think that they are making this all up, a story concocted by the whole gang to put doubt in the jury's minds as to if Casey killed the girl or if it was just an accident. Remember, if there's any doubt they cannot convict. I believe the only thing that can be believed in this case is just the hard evidence and that's it.

It's not. If she just put the tape over the mouth, to keep her silent, that'd be one thing. But you don't need to put tape over someone's nose to keep them from making noise.

Yes, Sylvia, I think I'm right. PLUS, let us not forget - just because she wasn't convicted doesn't mean she's not guilty - it just means there wasn't enough solid forensic evidence - O.J. all over again.

O.J. finally did himself in - he's in prison for the rest of his life for robbery and attempted murder - I see Casey feeling smug right now and saying 'Cool - I beat it', but offenders are almost always 'repeat offenders' - Casey will eventually get her just punishment - it's just a matter of time.
