Thanks caseby- your results are somewhat reassuring. I've recently started purchasing the Clorox wipes and use them in my weekly "house blessing". I quickly wipe all knobs (including outside door knobs) and phones and I also use one to wipe my chopping blocks (which are wood - another story but I DO wash them in dishwater throughout the week as well.) Something about sponges which I read here eons ago is that they can be disinfected by putting them in the microwave for 2 minutes (of course not if they have metallic parts). I've been doing this daily when I fix my coffee in the morning. Makes me feel virtuous. I just checked google and found a whole bunch of hits recommending that sponges be microwaved anywhere from 30 seconds to 60 seconds. So I guess I will continue. (Now I don't know exactly when to toss the sponges, always more questions, LOL). Anyway, I think the microwave cleansing should be considered a non-toxic cleaning method (if you don't have a leaky microwave which could be toxic in other ways - check google for ways to test your microwave or just buy the cheap end of microwave ovens and replace every 5 years or so, that's what I plan to do. My last one I had for 25 years and was horrified to read here about someone who had actually had their leakage measured - it pentrates walls - yikes! always something to worry about, maybe I'm one of those obsessive compulsive wannabes's, LOL) --Alice

It is amazing to me that such a huge majority of people who has been following this case, and who saw the evidence presented, thinks Casey is guilty. And yet, out of 12 randomly chosen people, not one of them found reasonable doubt. Is it possible that juries are too 'protected' from pertinent information and thereby getting too narrow a view???? Also, about that unfortunate woman during jury selection who blurted out that she thought Casey killed "someone". That caused a potential juror on the stand to be dismissed, and the judge said that if the whole panel had been there they would have had to start all over again. Didn't the (potential) jurors already know that she was accused of killing "someone"? Of course it is totally wrong for a spectator to speak up like that, and the judge handled that firmly,as he should, but would it really taint the jury? Are their minds that fragile? Elisabeth

Good lawyers do make a big difference and there's generally a correlation between good lawyers and how expensive they are (not always but usually). To me, that doesn't really show any flaw in the legal system because verdicts are based on the evidence. It's the lawyers job to present the evidence in a way to benefit their clients and some lawyers are better than others. Prosecution and defense is a lot more complicated than people believe. I see nothing wrong with hiring the best lawyer that you can. People always have the option to represent themselves. It's sort of like with doctors. If you had to have brain surgery and you had the choice between the local surgeon and the top neurosurgeon in the world, wouldn't you want the best? But if insurance didn't cover him and only the rich can afford it, does that mean it's wrong for them to pursue it?

Cindy worked for a home health care agency in nursing administration. She collects disability due to the stress of the case. I read somewhere that she recently let her nursing license expire and its tough to get it renewed once it expires, so she has no intention of going back to the health care field. George was once a cop but not for many years. He worked odd jobs as a security guard-nothing steady. I have no idea what Lee did for living. I thought he wasn't working due to workmans comp, but I might be wrong on that. Any money grabs I see, I will email the companies or stations to protest. Supposedly that is why the talent agency dumped Jose.
