Glad to hear you went for a check up. I guess the breathing problem can come on pretty fast. I had itching from taking PPIs and the doc took me off right away.

I got stung by a bumble bee 3 times on the head. I didn't know bumble bees could sting more than once.

Per the doctor, the vemon settled in my lymph nodes in my neck. That will probably happen too.

wow! Glad you went to the doc! Infected. hmmmm My reactions are a good 5 times larger than that. My whole thigh gets red, hot and swollen for more than a week. Always have huge reactions to wasps/yellow jackets. I never go to the doctor... just keep using baking soda compresses over and over. Maybe next time I SHOULD visit the Doc.

WE had to call 911 for my son when he was in high school. He was instantly covered in hives from head to toe, was extremely dizzy and was getting harder and harder for him to breathe... they took him asap to the emergency room. Now he carries benadryl and an epi pen. Take benadryl immediately..

I hope the pain eases really soon and the swelling goes down fast. It looks quite tender and ouchie.

Looks very painful....and scary. I get stung often but no reaction...so far. Hope all goes as it should.

Oh ouch- you poor baby! My oldest boy got bit by something on the back of his head- it did lead to the lymph nodes and now is having some minor neck pain. He is also on an antibiotic but his never looked like yours! Ouch ouch ouch! I just want to put an ice pack on you!

A friend of mine was driving and thought she was having a stroke...She was taken to the ER, giving every test under the sun and the the ER doctor noticed a small bite on her jaw...Seems she had been bitten and it caused her jaw and side of her face to go numb....Bites are nothing to fool with, no matter what the bite....

My next door neighbor spent 4 days in the hospital on iv antibiotics last week because of a spider bite.He was cleaning out his shed when he got bit.

My youngest son was bitten on the forearm by a yellow jacket when he was a toddler. His arm swelled so badly it looked like Popeye's arm. I ran him over to the doctors's office and he gave him a shot and a script for benedryl to take for the swelling and allergic reaction. I was told to keep benedryl on hand at all times because this type of reaction could be fatal if bitten from the shoulders up. The swelling can close off the airways and cause suffocation before an ambulance could get there. Unless you know you can't take benedryl it wouldn't hurt to keep it on hand for things like this.

Benedryl will take some swelling out. I agree with the suggestion to take some.

thanks all- I will continue taking Benedryl but only at bedtime- it REALLY knocks me out! It is still warm and sore but maybe not quite as much as this morning. It is time for my second dose of meds so maybe by morning it will be doing much better. The itching comes and goes- right now it is itching pretty good. I got a "skitter itch" pen at Walmart today and that helps. At least I can scratch it with something softer than my nails! LOL

wow, that looks awful painful! good thing you went to the ER. what did you get stung by? my brother has to have an epi pen with him at all times, me on the other hand some bees bother me honey bees never have. my mother used to slap a plaster of mud on us when we were little and no baking soda around lol. not what theyd consider sanitary these days, but it worked. i really hope you feel better.

Nothing beats Calamine lotion. I always use it at home.
