We have someone coming over later this morning, then a trip to the costume shop to get an astronaut suit for him. Then back here to shoot a scene for a movie.

Tomorrow, we are shooting a short for HBO's Green Light Project contest! Soooo excited!!!

Bright sunny day, but hot and humid. I've been vacuuming, and changing bed linens, and got some sweet potatoes baked before the temperature rose.

T-storms expected in the afternoon, so if the grass dries in time I hope to try out my new riding mower before then. I don't usually do much outside in the noonday sun, but at least with a riding mower I'll be sitting.

Tomorrow, up at 4:00 a.m. again for another hamfest (ham radio flea market) with my son. This one is in NJ. Severe t-storms forecast for the afternoon both here and there, so I'm hoping we won't be driving home in one. Definitely a nap when I get back!

Headed to the farmers market and shop the trucks for fresh peaches and corn.

Friend going with me will hit the flea market and then we'll lunch at the cafeteria that serves all the farmers fresh produce.

Can't beat a day with a good friend and good eats.

I'm envying y'all. I'm trimming trees and cutting one down in the Texas heat.

On my screened porch in Maine lazing and watching the beauty. Then to try out a new restaurant for lunch, meander through a few cute areas and company later. It's the perfect day here.

Seems to be some interesting stuff happening everywhere (astronaut?! lol!) but Glenda's fresh peaches and corn would be awesome for me!

We're playing in an annual charity golf tournament today -- Scramble format (aka Captain and Crew) -- always a ton of fun if you make the putts! :)

When I got up about 5 a.m., it was raining. At 11:30 it stopped. My rain gauge shows real close to 3 inches!

This afternoon, we go about 45 miles to an Art Fair.

Tomorrow is a pot luck picnic for some of the missus' relatives; about one hour away.

It will be difficult to take my one hour nap!

I slept in. Got back from vacation the other day. Still trying to get back on track. Dh had a day off yesterday so left him home with the boys while dd and I went to a place where you paint a picture in two hours. Today I've got errands and a bit of shopping to do. Need to clean, but probably won't happen.

What luck. One stand at the farm market had fresh picked tart cherries. Cheap too. Haven't had those in years. One dude wanted $6/lb for Blueberries. No thanks, got mine for $1.50.

This weekend we are grocery shopping and it is a stock-up trip to Winn Dixie and Sam's Club. I am preparing bacon quiche for dinner with fruit on the side and maybe a salad..Tomorrow we will all gather and figure out how to get Sam to and from work Monday...

I'm just resting. Played golf Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Tomorrow we go to Costco and then I'll play catch up around here and get ready for a busy week next week.

Early morning housework, spent majority of this beautiful day helping with the raffle at a charity golf tournament and am now waiting for a grandson to arrive.

We had lunch with a group, but my husband realized that he really is sick, not just feeling the effects of stirring up dust while cleaning. So, we've had to cancel the rest of our plans for the weekend. He's a bit upset because it's going to cost us some money to reschedule a day trip we had planned. I think I'll get a lot of reading done while he rests.

DH and DD are doing an install/wrap on a pickup for a client, so I actually have a few hours to myself. I watched a little television this morning, had a BD lunch with my son and daughter-in-law, swung by the farmer's market, did a little shopping for ME (got three blouses), came home and cooled off. Boy, it's hot out there - 80 something. Tomorrow, a potluck on the grounds of the UC Berkeley campus. I am so proud of my 14 year-old grandson. He is spending 5 weeks on campus (sans weekends) in the SMASH program. The entrants began at 125 and 25 were selected after an essay, in-person interview, and an interview via webcam. Focus is on math and science and it will continue for the next two summers. Okay, done bragging. Then my BD dinner with DH.

We're sticking close to home, too. I'm not feeling great myself and can't get real enthusiastic about being up and about. So, a quiet day watching golf, reading, me napping.

It's too hot to outside, even at this time of day.

Yesterday I drove about 3 hours (one way) to pick up the panels to make a round pen for training my horse. Today I am just hanging out....nothing extraordinary. I have been outside a good part of the day, filling water troughs, watering plants and turned my horses out in another pasture for a few hours, and then brought them back in. I am getting ready to fix myself a hamburger....I have been on a hamburger kick for about two weeks and have eaten one almost every day.

Everything got cancelled Saturday. But the Cherry Pie was delicious. Sunday started out cloudy and chilly 70. But it cleared up about 11, and people flocked to the beach in droves. Temp rebounded to a delightful and comfy 88.

We had family visiting this weekend.

Friday we went to a nearby winery for music and a potluck dinner, with great views.

On Saturday I picked these from our garden:

and made a pie from wild picked blackberries from our yard.

On Sunday we went to a nearby commercial cave, which was a great way to spend a hot steamy afternoon.

We left @ 5am, drove to Mt Evans(over 14K '). Had a new 300mm lens & 2x teleconverter to try out. Photographed big horn sheep, mtn goats & babies, birds & wild flowers.

Sunday DH pulled up our paver walkway. It had HUGE tree roots heaving it, he pulled out. Then the black locust were taking over, pulled a bunch of those.

We hung out with our neighbor Mike who house sat for our 3 day weekend prior. While we dug June grass out of the perennial gardens down the driveway.

Dh changed the oil in the truck.

Went grocery shopping. Made Belgan waffles w/ blueberries. Layed in the sun on our lower deck while our cat slept in the tall grass(we keep him on a leash, he's declawed).
