Nope, I didn't watch the wedding. Somehow, since I don't know them, aren't related to them, will most probably never meet them and wasn't invited to the wedding, well, I didn't care much, LOL. Same with most celebrities that are doing whatever they are doing that they didn't invite me to!

Instead, we're having a "meet the family" thing for Ashley tomorrow in Fremont, put on by the groom's family. So I'll go and smile and meet his aunts and his Grandma and a bunch of people I'll never see again and be pleasant. It's at a local restaurant and we're having a pizza buffet. Sigh. I don't know how they do that, LOL

Sunday I have posts to replace, and I've got to check on both new calves. Stepmom was supposed to get a pacemaker today, then the doctors decided she didn't need it after all, so I'll probalby have to bring her home and listen to her for a while. Elery and I are building raised garden beds for my back yard, so we'll work on that and I still have a lot of limbs down in the back yard from the wind storms we had the last couple of weeks.

Lots better than the people in other states have been getting, so I'll haul 'em off and won't whine at all, I'll just be glad it wasn't worse.

TGIF and ~clink~ back atcha, David! Actually, I'm on my second clink...it's been a looooong week, but I have two days off in a row, so life is good. It's been crazy busy here, too...people are using the heck out of their libraries these days.

Annie...have fun at the meet and greet, lol. Liana's BF's dad chickened out on coming to Easter dinner. We apparently haven't gotten to the meet the family stage yet.

Hard to avoid The Wedding if the TV's on for more than a minute. This morning DH had Food Network on instead of Good Morning America.

It snowed all morning here. Day before yesterday we had 6-7". But I'm not complaining...we don't have tornadoes. It's supposed to be half decent this weekend, so we will spend it outside. I have strawberry and asparagus plants to put in and brush piles to burn.

Well I sure watched the wedding, even got up at 4 AM to be sure not to miss a bit. My word she was a stunning bride! Best part was whne they left Buckingham Palace in a convertible Aston Martin, top down,veil billowing and cans and ballons on the back!

Nothing to exciting here this weekend. Just work.
Meredith moves into her own aprtment in the city this weekend so today we'll help with the move. Tomorrow we've got to get paint and flooring etc for the new bunkie plus gather and label stuff for a yard sale.

Leaving for Las Vegas! Hope everyone has a good weekend. We will be home Tuesday evening.

Work... I was supposed to work 24 hours but talked it down to 16 1/2. Broke a sway bar link in the front end of my truck this week... checking on it I discovered the other side was also broken. Only $14 in parts to repair it but I've not yet taken the time to crawl under the truck and put them in. Probably give it a go before leaving for work today.

Sale of steaks this week so I have half a short loin in the fridge... need to wrap and freeze most of it.

Yard/house work this morning. My house took a lightning strike this week... no damage discovered yet. A big bolt and the thunder rolled forever. Rain water washed a two foot deep trench that I need to fill.

Planting tomatoes to put in planters for gifts. A gal friend was curious about my luck with Sungold last year so I'm putting a hanging planter together for a couple friends.

Dolly ran into a tree yesterday and is a bit sore today. It was just a sapling but big enough to stop her.. never saw a dog run into a tree before. Maybe she needs glasses? Reminds me I need to contact the vet for heartworm/flea medications before summer is here... end of April already!

Annie - pat those babies! I was up at the local raw milk farm and they have their 3 new babies in a pasture next top the store so everyone can visit them. They are adorable! Hope the "family thing" goes well.

Katie - shoveling? Yikes! LOL! I love snow and I think I would even be unhappy to see it right now.

Sharon - I watched most of it too - I loved the dress!!!! So elegant. Good luck moving Meridith, I wish her all the best

Lyra - what a great gift idea! I am going to the tomato farm after next weekend, I think I will pick up a few extras to make planters for a few non-gardening friends. Good luck with fixing the truck and try to find time for a little fun too.

Yesterday was crazy busy with kid activities. Field trip to the District Art Show with one sons class, then swim practice for one, then pick him up and take him to LAX practice then back to the pool with the older one for practice. This morning was a yard sale at a friends house, sold a bunch of stuff and only came home with a few things, one of which is a brand new 20" flat screen for the kitchen that someone won in a raffle, set it up and decided they wanted a bigger one so it is only a week old.

Yard work this afternoon (yes, I am taking a break right this moment) and lots more yard work tomorrow. It is going to rain all next week here so I need to make haste while the sun shines LOL!

Saturday Kevin and I went to Wizard World Anaheim and met Julie Newmar and Harry Hamlin and got their autographs. I'll post something about the event on the other side. We had a great time there and it was more of an experience than I had expected. We need to do yard work today since we were out yesterday.

Cold rainy day here today so I just chilled out for the most part. The windows didn't get cleaned...LOL! I took a nap instead. After seven hours in the yard yesterday it is looking pretty darn good considering the winter damage to the shrubs. Hope they green up and come back okay.
