TGIF!!! and Weekend Plans

Long weekend for me. I have Monday off. No plans, except to hang out here at the house, grill a few good meals. Right now, I am off to mow the yard, between the rain that has been happening and expected again tonight.

So, what are your plans?

I have the weekend off too, the kids and I are going to see a movie tomorrow afternoon and maybe eat out. Then they're going to their dad's for the 4th. I'll be watching rented movies and dyeing my hair. lol!

My routine will be similar to yours Walks, but still not sure if I have monday off or not....will find out on Sunday....such is the life of air conditioning business....if it's quiet, I will...if it's crazy, I won't...but I do plan on eating good food regardless

Supposed to get my parking lot swept today, but since it's snowing right now I might have to get the guy to plow it first...rofl. Today I will finish up some touch ups in a suite I painted yesterday, clean the suite, get all my crap out and finish up the paperwork so new tenant can move in tomorrow. Oh I also have to fix his mailbox. Then I will go to one of my other buildings to do a checkout and take pictures of the stuff the tenant left behind (I poked my head in there the other day and saw some furniture, a freezer, few other things.) Then I will vacuum the building I live in, take out the garbages and the dreaded newspapers that pile up, clean all the doors and windows, clean the laundry room. If I still have any oomph after that's done I will work in another suite that needs my attention. Just another day in paradise here... I watered my tomato plants this morning and one of my flower beds. Cleaned the kitchen really well today. Washed all the dishes in the dishwasher. Took a good 2 hour nap then played on the computer. I've taken my shower and am dressed for bed. Will get up and water some more in the morning then to church. We will pick up some fried chicken for lunch. The son is preparing Father's day dinner Sunday at 6:30. I'm really looking forward to his grilling, he is a great cook. I'm taking potato salad and comeback salad dressing. That should about finish the weekend.

I will be off to the county before dawn to set up my camoflage blind on the bank of a beaver dam pond, where I will spend the day ducking raindrops and shooting pictures of the beavers, birds, ducks and any other wildlife that may stray into view. They are predicting heavy thundershowers by late afternoon. Fortunately I made my blind out of waterproof nylon, but if we start getting a lot of lightning my outing may get cut short...

I lounged quite a bit this morning and was watching some of my normal Saturday Morning TV that was boring this morning, or should I say yesterday (Saturday) morning. Somehow about 11 or so I got some unusual ambition. The power company had been by to trim the trees near the power lines. I have a huge brush pile in my front yard. I thought this is a good time to do some more trimming and let them haul it instead of me having to haul it. So I finished trimming the trees right, that they just kind of hacked, took down some bushes that were overgrown, trimmed a couple trees in the back yard too. I was going non-stop for over four hours! In my younger days, that wouldn't have been such a big deal. These days, it IS a big deal! I was real proud of myself. Tomorrow, or today rather, is supposed to be nice too so when I knocked off I thought I might do a little more today. My shoulders and hips really feel it but boy I feel like I accomplished something. Good feeling. I won't get as much done as I would like to, but I'm pragmatic. This is a lot just as it is. Anything more is "gravy". A lot more is dessert! LOL And I do need to mow the leaves one of these days but didn't make sense to do it yesterday since the brush pile took up a big area. OK, that's an excuse. But I have plenty of time for that. Schedule it right and get it done. I was SO tired earlier but can't get to sleep. And maybe I'll reward myself by going out for breakfast or brunch if I get some things done or maybe I'll do it before I go to work. But then, would I be feeling like working??? Ah, decisions, decisions. Then I have to set clocks sometime. As Roseanne Rosanadanna says It's always something!

I have the weekend and all of next week off. I'm only working the week after because I volunteered.

Slept till noon today when my cat Yoko woke me to play. Drank warmed up coffee, surfed the net, and wondered what to eat for a couple hours. Drove into town and bought a load of softener salt and hit the grocery store. They had some nice ribeye steaks with a lean center and just enough fat around the outside to make good grill meat. Then I went home and had mashed potatos because I was suddenly struck with a craving for them... the steaks went in the fridge for another time. Washed a few loads of laundry and played with the cats for awhile. A sister just flew into town today so I went to meet her and another sisters house just in time for dinner. My dad was there working on her house and mom showed up later. Two little nieces were in high spirits so dinner was a rock & roll show. After dark we lit off some cheap fireworks and the kids cooked marshmallows with graham crackers and chocolate. We sat around drinking some coffee and Sangria until midnight and then I went home.

Supposed to go to the bar tomorrow and visit a female friend. Went to a bar last night to visit a female friend but a different one in another town. It sounds like I have girlfriends and a love life but no they are just friends... but maybe someday... you never know. About as close as I get to planning these days.

Well, I had planned for a quiet night alone...the kids aren't going to the ex's afterall. Not sure what that is all about. One kid says they were never going, the other had big plans. Oh, well... So, I thought it would be the three of us, went and got a few little fireworks for tonight and then this afternoon, a friend called to invite us to her mom's for a cookout and fireworks. They live out in the country. So, I guess we'll go out there for a little bit.

I'm staying home and trying to make the dog comfortable with all the fireworks and thunderstorms....
