Susie, I'm so relieved (as you must be) that things are getting better for your brother and nephew. Continued get well thoughts/prayers are being sent to them.

Well we have nothing planned for this weekend. Feels kinda good to be able to be a slug once in a while.

Hubs and I will probably just run out for a bite to eat tonight. But that's it.

Our son has been away this week; staying with our daughter during Spring Break. He's had a ball! Anyway he is coming home tonight. I know our little Ricky Dog will be excited to see him.

I am taking my little grand-niece for the weekend. Still haven't made a decision on whether to consider adoption or not. One day at a time....
Got another 4-5 inches of snow last night, and it's sold and very windy. Hope we get at least a litle bit of sunshine over the weekend! This winter just does not want to go away!

No big plans. Have another kids party tomorrow and also an event at the library. Maybe get some spring cleaning in...I am jonesing to do the windows.

I am right now chocking on my coffee. Just got an oil delivery - $4.19 a gallon - $725. Ouch! I feel ill. I thought the last delivery was the highest ever at $3.89 a gallon.

Linda, More snow! Yuck! Enjoy the weekend with your grand niece, taking it one day at a time is probably the best way to handle it. When the time comes you will do what feel best for you and your grand niece (whether or not that means bringing her into your home to raise her) so try not to stress about it.

Maggie, Those gas prices are crazy aren't they! For someone with no big plans it sounds like you have a lot to do this weekend!

I started my driving lessons (no, I have never had a license and I am 40) on Monday, had a second lesson Wednesday, and my third lesson is later today. My instuctor said I'm doing really well, he's had me out on a lot of the major roads in the area already. I drove my hubby (who is working at home today) to breakfast today, about a 15 mile drive round trip. We got home an hour ago and I still feel a bit jittery! And my lesson starts in a hour. My hubby wants me to go cut his hair now, we'll see how that comes out! Not much going on over the weekend, trying to find a summer weight fedora for my son and that's about it. Have a great weekend. I wonder how many other people posted while I was typing this!

Shaun, enjoy being a slug. It's supposed to get up to 70F on Sunday but I still can't see my yard,so we will probably spend the weekend the same way (or find an excuse to go to town where it's greening up).

Linda, my sympathies on your snow. It's been at least four days since we've had any....and now there's some strange bright light steaming into my windows. Nancy, you said 'Summer Season'....I sure hope we get one.

It's been a couple of hell weeks at work...my conflict resolution skills have been put to the test. Today I am hiding at home and catching up on paperwork. Tomorrow I get to work with the only employee I have that isn't having some conflict with a coworker, so it'll be a stress free day. We'll drink lattes and clean the staff room. And Sunday will be warm and sunny....ahhhhhhhh....

LOL, Joanne, I was wondering how many had posted also (since i started this an hour ago). Have fun with your lessons, it sounds like it's easy for you. My stepmom always regretted not learning to drive.

Maggie, it does hurt, doesn't it? I got the heating bill a week ago, it's higher than the last one. Sigh. And I keep the heat at 55 when I'm home, 50 when I'm not, still costs me $200+ a month. It sucks. I'm sorry.

Katie, my employee finished her last day today, she got another job. Now I have to interview, hire and train a new employee which is a pain in the a**. Ah well, it's worth it. At least she never "forgot" to come to work, like yours did!!!

This weekend? Let's see, it started today, Elery was here and I took the day off. We went fishing for steelhead this morning, I got a fish but it broke my pole and got away, lure, pole and all. Darn it. Afternoon was a trip to the doc, I've been having some "issues" and today got a biopsy done. Results in 5 days.

Right now I feel like cr*p, so I'm just hanging around, drinking a cup of hot tea. Tomorrow too, I think, although I may break down and bake something. Sunday is some more fence repair. Nothing exciting, just normal stuff.

Hey, I'm all about the free stuff! lol They are celebrating their anniversary and having face painting, a magician, a balloon guy, live music...should be fun! Hope you thaw out soon and the prices go down a bit by then AND things calm down for you.

Annie, I don't know why but I am getting a kick out of imagining you two fishing on a cold Michigan morning on your day off. You two sure make the most of life. Oh, man! Why do they torture people - waiting 5 days! I'm holding your hand but not panicked. Nope! Everything is going to be fine....just fine. (giving your hand a little squeeze)

Wow, you keep it down! I thought we were good. When I called the oil company they said we use very little oil comparably. I have stolen my husbands itchy wooly socks that are made for extreme temps - LOL. As long as my feet are warm I feel okay. Luckily my kids are like little heaters and run hot. LOL (one more little squeeze)

Hope that biopsy turns out to be good news Annie. Sick again myself bleeding from places I shouldn't. Idiot doc said I can't have no beers, no asprin, and not to worry. One of my cats thinks I have something wrong... pretty certain the cat knows more then the doc. Hope it is just the blood she smells. Ain't done my taxes yet. IRS owes me money but somehow the effort of filling out the forms seems beyond me at the moment. Working Saturday and the housekeeper is coming over Sunday. Big fight at work next week... hope I have a job next weekend.
