Gosh CB, I lasted one week on the facebook and then realized that I wanted to hide MYSELF! Dropped that thing like radioactive waste!! I don't guess I answered the queston CB, sorry.
I try to stay hip and stuff, but man, that thing was frightening!

~Go to your Facebook homepage.

~In the news feed, find a post by the friend you want to hide.

~Place your cursor over your friendâÂÂs post, and an âÂÂxâ will appear in the upper right corner of the post.

~Click the âÂÂxâÂÂ

~YouâÂÂll see an option to hide that friend.

OldGardener...I don't think I explained it right. I'm wanting to hide my WHOLE list of friends...from others, not myself.

That's exactly what I'm talking about.. all of this apparent duplicity and stuff. Not you of course CB, the facebook thing in general. I admit that I know virtually nothing about it as I jumped out of it as quickly as I would a boiling pot.

Okay, I'm just asking. Why would someone want to "hide" a friend? Is it that they don't want to be known as your friend or that you don't want others to know that this person is your friend?

Once again, I'm facebook illiterate so if my thoughts above are laughably ignorant of how that place works feel free to roll your eyes and smile. ;)

Oh, I see...try this:

~From your profile, click the little pencil icon in the Friends box on your profile.

~Then click on "Change Visibility Settings."

I did it a long time ago, and that's all I remember of the process. Hope it works for you.

Someone asked why you would want to hide a 'friend' on your list. I have several people on my 'friends' list that I hide. While I don't want to remove them, I'm tired of their 'woah is me' status lines. So I hide them. I do,however, enjoy seeing their pictures. So I don't delete them entirely. And often they comment on my stuff and we can have a half decent conversation. There have been a few people who are over the top with their status lines, and really cryptic. I delete them.

Why? Because I can.

Isn't THAT the truth,Debby!! I've blocked so many of those stupid games, that now I never see a couple of my "friends" on Facebook! LOL

The reason I started this post, was because I noticed I couldn't see the "Friends" of one of my friends and I ask her how she did it, but she couldn't remember. And...I just hate knowing something can be done, but don't know how to do it! lol
