red or white for Father's Day!

{{!gwi}}As like Mother's Day, we wore a red or white flower.

Mine will be white, for Father's Day. Had a wonderful loving and caring father.

White here as well.If my dad were alive,he'd be 107 years old,mom also.

White. My father passed away at the age of 54 just 4 1/2 months before my wedding :(

That was 30 years ago, and I frequently wish my kids would have known him. He was an awesome grandpa to my older sisters kids, and when I was in elementary school all my friends just loved him!

Julia - Desperado Love's scapes run from 26-28 inches in my clump. It's a very well-budded cultivar. I have it in the same bed with El Desperado and Open Door, which I like much better in that color range. It's supposed to rebloom, but I can't recall it ever reblooming for me. Mantis - I originally got three daylilies from hybridizer Mix before his death. I bought Glitter Gal, a late that died in a pot two winters ago, and Kisses from Heaven, an edge no eye cultivar that survives in a pot. Sweet Prairie Wind was the bonus. I just got it in the ground after three years in a pot. It was not happy in the pot and would not multiply there. I'm hoping it will take off now that it's in a place with good soil and plenty of sunshine. I tried to replace Glitter Gal this spring, but the two sources I knew of didn't have it for sale at this time. Maryl - Two of my gypsy cats, Coco and Sammie, are scaredy cats. On some days, they still seem afraid of me. Do the skinny scapes not hold your UF s upright? Most of my UFs do not have skinny scapes. Those by Wilkerson, Davisson and Hanson, Hansen, and George have very sturdy medium-sized scapes.

What a beautiful rose and lovely photo of you. May your dad have many years to visit this rose in person. My dad has been gone 60 years, but I still remember him as clearly as if it was yesterday. He grew some lovely roses, too. Diane PS--I'm reading "The Daughter of Time", sometimes called the best mystery ever written (in 1951, Josephine Tey, author). It's a possible solution to the Richard lll supposed murder of the little princes imprisoned in the Tower of London. Richard was the last of the Plantangenets, and the War of the Roses ended with him. Your rose was the House of York's symbol. Boy, I hope I got that right.

White. Daddy died in 1970, at the age of 56; about 3 1/2 months before my (first) wedding. He was the world's best father to the four of us kids, and the world's best husband to our mother. I miss both of my parents so much.

Red!! Also, Dad is here for a visit, so we can celebrate tomorrow. He is 87 and (thankfully) in excellent health.

I've always been Daddy's girl....

White for me. Dad died when I was 17, in a very turbulent time of my life. He was ill for several years, so I never really got to know him.

he would be 103 yrs old. Miss him alot.

White for me, too. He passed away in 2001 when he was almost 84 years old. I miss him everyday.

White for me too. My Daddy passed away eleven years ago and there's not a day that I don't wish he and my Mom were still here. I was definitely my Daddy's girl. Still am.

Thankfully, another red here. My dad is 87 and amazes me. Does all his yard work, goes out to luch with the "guys" every day, active at church, etc. What a blessing!!

I guess one of each,my father died almost 33yrs ago.I was blessed w/ a wonderful stepfather about 20 years ago.He is also a wonderful Papa to my 15yr old son,his only grandchild.He is such a blessing to our family.

He was the finest man I've ever known. My husband says so, too -- in fact, we named our business after him.

White here....My Father passed away in 1954 after suffering from cancer...I was just 16 at the time...Often wished he could have been here for all the kids and grands....He would have been in his glory...Had he lived, today he would be 109....
