That sounds so good, terri! Actually, everyone's supper (or lunch) sounds good. Robert asked for oven baked chicken pieces again. I basted the legs and thighs with a doctored BBQ sauce (added tobacco and apple vinegar) for the first half, then made a glaze out of that plus apricot preserves. It is sooooooo good! Sweet, sour, and spicy. Also made a batch of cheese biscuits and my cole slaw. He was a happy man! I'm always glad when he actually asks for something in particular....he helps with supper, by the way. He likes kitchen duty.

I've only been up an hour or so, and saw this thread and couldn't believe so many had already planned dinner. You'all got me. DH is gone for some days, so easy-peasy meals on the agenda here. Boca Burger last night.... most likely a salad and B-Burger again tonight. Beautiful Central Coast Strawberries for snack/desert. Does that make me first today????? I'm keeping my eye on the white flowers all over the Strawberry bed here!

Thanks, all. Sure wish I felt as good as they say I'm doing! But I'm getting stronger--couldn't have made that chicken salad two weeks ago, much less the second trip to the store. Dr. told me I wouldn't wake up one morning and suddenly be able to eat. Rather, it wil happen gradually. I'm so darned impatient. Sue, I'm not a big fan of blue cheese either. I love a good homemade BC salad dressing, though. I haven't had Spam or years. Back in the '70's when they had the meat boycott and people gave up meat for a week, we had Spam one night. Around here they sell like one each red, yellow and green pepper together and call it "stop light peppers". Mary, hopefully that will be the last mowing for this year. I need a haircut but she's so far away I've been putting it off. Plus, Iost more than a little bit at the nape of my neck and up in the back so I'm trying to let the layers grow out. I'm at the last one so I guess I'll just keep whacking at it myself for a while. Jasdip, I'd love your soup--wish we were closer 'cause I'd come begging at your door :-) And I'm so ready for leftover turkey. (with lots of gravy) Glenda, great minds think alike. I picked up a can of pumpkin for bread this morning. I don't like our GC either. I will say one thing for GC. They have one heck of a good breakfast. I love those warm cinnamon rolls! Shirley, it sure pays to keep some quick things in the pantry for days like you had today. Thanks for the beet reminder. I just love them and have a jar of pickled beets that I keep thinking might taste good. Georgysmom, it sounds like you are having a great time on vacation. Bet your house smells so good. I imagine a lot of KT'ers will be looking for the key lime pie mix. Pam, you get more done in one day than 5 people! When I lived in IN I used to work the polls. It was nice when people brought us goodies since we couldn't leave the building from 5 a.m. until about 7 or 8 that night. I loved doing that! Jasdip, I've read about those tomatoes too, but I thought they were really expensive. Glad you found out differently. I like Pomi brand tomatoes. They are imported from Italy and in a box like chicken broth comes in. The ingredient list is pretty short: tomatoes. :-) Mary, unfortunately I'm not finished with all the changes, but the list is getting short. :-) Grilled cheese sounds really good.
