Hi Sweetie. I hope to be around more often now. My life isn't my own as Daughter and 13 yr old Granddaughter live with me. Keeping up a house and cooking for everyone is a lotta work. Not to mention dealing with a teen!!! ARG! Have missed my friends here. The vacation post reminded me of my "Road Trip" across the US a few years ago when I got to meet several of the KTers. Would luv to do it again! Might be a little tougher am not as young as I used to be. Still a bit on the fun and crazy side tho. Smooches

'saw swirls' on my cedar shingle siding -X-posting

linda c - I realize the singles have to be cut with a saw. My question was "Why do some of the singles have "saw swirls" and others do not?" We have a whole bundle of about 500 shingles that do not have saw swirls and two other bundles that do. I did not mean to come across like I though a tree grew in the shape of a shingle and that no sawing was necessary and I do understand if each shingle was hand split the cost would be greatly , and I mean GREATLY increased, that is if you could even find someone who would do the hand splitting. Does anyone else have any ideas that would explain why some of the shingles have the saw swirls and other do not. Appreciate your input. Thanks.

They newer photos of your paint look pretty close to my kitchen and family room walls. :-) Don't worry about the mini-novel. It's the cheapest therapy there is, and if you can get a laugh in here or there, pretty good medicine too. You're doin' good!

Not great lighting for pics, but a couple spruces are doing their thing: Picea pungens 'Procumbens' It used to be very stiffly horizontal, but the left side started upturning last year or so. Usually even more intense blue. Picea abies 'Pendula' Picea glauca 'Rainbow's End' Picea pungens 'Thume'

I just looked at what I wrote for the heading..."posted" doesn't sound right...I guess I should have said replied instead.
