Right now I have a deep purple color with a glittery topcoat. I just had a pedi on Thursday - prior to the purple I had a light pink. Usually I get some shade of pink. I get a pedi about every 5-6 weeks in the summer. It is indulgent but I cannot do my own toenails!

Just had my pedicure yesterday - bright red!

sort of a coral / orange and matches well with most of my summer clothes! I love the warmth and brightness of the color.

I usually do a bright color on my toes. Sometimes my fingernails will match. I prefer a lighter color on my fingernails. I had mine done about a week ago and the person doing my toes did such a poor job with the polish and trimming that my toes hurt. Not going back.

I've never had a pedicure, but when I wear polish on my toes, I usually go for sort of a dusty pink. I never wear sandals so that's just for my own amusement.

I usually wear bright red, royal blue, or a french.

I can hardly bend enough to cut my nails, let alone trying to put any polish on them. Years ago when I could, the color matched my finger nails which has always been a deep wine color. I've never had a pedicure....I'm not able to get up into their chairs and there doesn't seem to be any kind of accommodations for those of us who are handicapped at my salon.

Love to paint my toe nails. I have lots of different colors which include different pinks, purple & red. Can't do the fingernails because the arthritis in the joints have made some nails not grow anymore.

I have a favorite that I use almost exclusively, called Santiago Sangria by OPI. I usually have them done in the summer for sandal season. I need one right now. I can't do it myself. I don't generally have my fingers done. This is not a good example of it, it is shimmering with some purple undertones and a more fuchsia pink.

I can't remember....it was almost a year ago when I had my last pedi. I think they were red.
And my fingernails would need polish to hide all the garden dirt.

Sort of a bright coral pink. It's an Essie color, but I forget the name.

The one I have is from Walmart called Pure Ice. It's a light rose pink color. (Don't have the color name though)

Had my last pedi 2 weeks ago, but I think I ruined it. He didn't cut my nails short enough, so I just had to cut them shorter now my polish doesn't look so good. It's a kind of pinkish brownish. Time for another visit to the salon. I need my nails short so they don't bump up against the front of my shoes when I work out.

Usually a medium pink or coral. I try to keep a similar color at home so I can touch up any dings that happen. I had a turquoise blue done once but had it redone after a week. Too far out there for me.

I'm very demure on my finger nails for a more professional look at work. But my toenails are usually wild! I like the metallic and glitter polishes, and change around from red to turquoise/blues to purples.

I don't polish my fingernails, but on my toes, anything goes! Usually something bright and fun with glittery top coats. I just polished them myself this weekend (I only go get a pedi about 3-4 times a year) and they are a deep forest green.

I am in Orlando, you must have your toes painted 24/7 - 365 it's sandal season almost everyday LOL. Spring/summer I wear oranges/orange-reds, bright fushia's, purple, dk blues or funky colors like this summers bright yellow. fall/winter I go towards reds, burgundy's, teals, dark greys, dark greens, almost black, gold or silver glitter (holidays). I never ever use pastels or light colors on my toes but 1 of my co-workers who hoards polish like I do, used a pastel mint I lent her for her toes and it looked awesome on her. I haven't tried that yet LOL. on my fingernails anything goes I don't often co-ordinate unless it's a dressy occasion. I collect nail polishes usually getting a plastic shoe box full each season (2x a yr). I have a few constant fav's I use year round and year after year like Zoya Pandora & Essie Chinchilly.

my fav brands lately is Zoya, I actually buy online that is how much of their stuff I get LOL. I also love Essie's collections right now and some of OPI. BTW you will never find a better polish remover than Zoya's and it comes in a bottle w a wide bottom (prevents tipping/spilling) w a prof pump top. This remover does a good job w hard to remove glitters and sand textures. When I need a pick me up that is not fattening and cheap it's always a nail polish ;-))) ~ liz

I usually wear a candy apple red. My favorite is Ulta brand. The color is called "Ruby Slipper". I usually take it with me when I have a pedi. If I forget I use OPI and I think the name is "I'm not a waitress". The color is very similar but I think the Ulta last longer.

The birds in the garden don't get close enough to notice ...

... but wouldn't see anything, through the shoes/rubber boots, regular and squeezy socks, even were they to get closer.

I have a question. I've never had a mani or a pedi but I plan to before we leave for our family reunion. My question is: Does a manicure/pedicure last longer done in a salon than if I do it myself?

Polish (unless you opt for shellac) might or might not last longer. I think the pampering/relaxation component is delightful, and worth it! Have been getting shellac for fingers. It looks great or a minimum of two weeks! Love it!

I only get salon pedis a few times a year. Between times, I do it myself, or have naked toes. I do try to give my nails a rest, from time to time.

I like salon pedicures, get one about every three months. They give a leg massage with lavender oil that is so relaxing. I always choose bright polish-red, burgundy,etc. I also have a callus on one ankle that they scrub away with their pumice tool. Beats going to a chiropodist or podiatrist..

This was a fun thread! Never tried Zoya polish, so I'll have to give it a go.

I never put polish on bare nails. For me, the best base coat is OPI, and the absolute most fantastic protective top coat is Sally Hansen's Advanced Hard As Nails. That stuff protects my polish like nothing else.

I change my toe colors every 3 weeks but my fav was a pastel light green. I think I'm going to get that this week cause I'm due and I haven't had that in about 2 years, thanks for the reminder, Liz.

I like the foot and leg massage as much as the nice finished toes. Heavenly!

Patti I find that the professional pedi last a very long time, many weeks so is really worth it, plus the massage and pampering are wonderful. I have never mastered the art of polish if I do it you would think a blindfolded chimpanzee did it.... it ain't pretty! The pros make it look so simple and easy and fast.

I have been waiting for my broken toe nail to grow out before getting one but I donâÂÂt think I can wait until then. I have no idea how I managed to damage my big toe nail but I did, I hope it doesn't grow in all funky looking.

I am wearing a bright pink on my toes and fingernails now. Big Lots had a pkg. of 6 different colors including green, blue, 2 pinks, mango, and a color that looks sort of brownish. It is Simply Sweet brand. For $3 I thought they would be worth a try!

I am a guy that has a very strong feminine side to my personality. You could say that IâÂÂm the male equivalent of a Tomboy and am very much in-touch with my feminine side. I live in a warm climate and almost always wear womenâÂÂs sandals. My toenails are always professionally pedicured and polished bright fire engine red year round. It is a vestige of femininity that I proudly wear and that is always visible. Whenever IâÂÂm having a really bad day, it cheers me up to look down and see bright red toenails peeking out of my sandals.

Do you all keep your toenails polished over the winter months? I always take off the polish about now and don't have them polished again until May. Of course if I go somewhere warm over the winter, I polish them up again.

I find my pedi's last longer in the summer in sandals and flip flops over in shoes and socks once the weather cools..

I tend to tone down my polish colors in the fall and winter..I used to let them breathe for a few months in the winter..but I prefer to look at "finished" toes when they are bare..

I will often do a neutral french tip in winter...
