Gloria, I think that photo's DO have to be on photobucket or one of the hosts for images. Others have much more knowledge of this sort of thing but GW seems to be fairly limited in what you can put in this here "Message:" box. Apparently, it's just these "a href" codes with these "'s." I can't quite demonstrate it or GW feels compelled to slap something between one ">" and the other. It isn't difficult, at all, to use photobucket. And, if you don't want to open an account, it's even easier to use Tinypic.com. I don't think you should be worried about using that quick service since it's owned by photobucket. Click their "browse" button, find your picture, and then upload. You'll find the code when it's finished and you can copy it into the GW message box. digitalS' Here is a link that might be useful: Tinypic.com

Well, I don't use photobucket, but in a nutshell, once you have the address of the image itself (something starting with http and ending in jpg or some other file type) the syntax is pretty simple. In the example below replace the left and right square brackets ("[" and "]") with the less than/greater than symbols. (I can't use then here because the forum will try and interpret those symbols and they won't show.) And of course replace the address to whatever your image's address is. [img src="http://www.your-url.com/your-folder/your-image.jpg"] That's it. Ok. Just looked at photobucket. They give you the url's for your pictures right on the page. Copy that and use it in the above syntax and everything should work fine. (Not my photo. Snagged it at Photobucket for illustration.)

Hi, Eileen and others - Within the US, I would suggest 7 - 10 days before the birthday just in case the mail is a little slow. Maybe allow up to 3 weeks for those being sent outside the US. It probably won't take that long, but that would get it there in time for the person's birthday. Now, I was in an "early bird" group this year, so you may run later than what I am saying ... and we all know sometimes something comes up and you just can't get it out exactly when you planned. It's great to get it there before the person's birthday, but if not - at least aim for her birthday month. If your questions was more in terms of how early is too early, I think most people would be happy to start celebrating 2-3 weeks early. I will be following up by sending another e-mail to everyone with the list of your group members blocks, etc. I have been sending out updates as they come along, but I would like everyone to have the current list with the updates in place and all and we got the lists out early so they may have been misplaced.
