OK country boy, get yourself over to photobucket.com and sign up there, it's free.

Then when you have your album set up you click on BROWSE which should take you to your pictures on your computer. Click on the one you want, click OPEN, and then the photo info will appear on the Photobucket page in that BROWSE box. Then you click on UPLOAD, and it will take a few seconds for the picture to upload to Photobucket.

Then, when the picture is in Photobucket, you COPY the TAG line which is under your photo, and then when you are making your GardenWeb message, you PASTE the TAG line into your message. When you click on PREVIEW MESSAGE your picture should appear in the SUBMIT MESSAGE window.

When you see a photo in a message on GardenWeb, if the poster used Photobucket, he would have pasted the tag line right where that picture appears.

You can also go to the Test Forum if you want to practice.

It sounds complicated, and it will take you a little bit of time to figure out, but once you do it, it's a lot of fun. We'd like to see your critters.

Just left click on the Tag Heading at photobucket for the picture you want after you have uploaded it to photobucket, it should be the middle one, then using your mouse right click on copy when the tag turns blue meaning you have correctly selected it, when you right click on copy then go to your message on the Farm Life forum and put you mouse where you want the picture to appear and then right click again and sellect paste. If all went well when you selected the tag heading and copied and pasted then when you preview your message then your picture should appear in the message. Sandy has explained it, and I'll explain it too in different words in case that helps.

You want to turn the tagline on Photobucket blue. That means it is "highlighted." For me it works if I double-click on the tagline.

When it is blue, you want to copy it to your clipboard, a special place in your computer. You can do this two ways:

1. Hold down on the Ctrl button on your keyboard and then push the letter C (or if you have a Mac, hold on the Apple symbol, then letter C)

2. OR...Go up to EDIT at the top of your screen and drag down to COPY

Now you have your image tagline saved on your clipboard.

THEN return to the GardenWEb message you are making and click wherever you want the picture in your message, then you are going to enter the tagline in one of two ways:

1. Hold the control button on your keyboard, then push letter V. That should enter your tagline into your message.

2. Or go up to Edit as before and drag down to PASTE.

Then click PREVIEW MESSAGE, and your message should come up with the picture.

You are not entering the tagline in the Optional Link URL or Name of the Link boxes.

It's a bit of a pain in the rear to learn all this, but once you get through it you'll know how, and it's a lot of fun to share pictures.

Sorry it took me so long, I didn't see goat in the heading heehee, cut and paste the following into your browser and read another easy way, its actually from this site. I love the goat picture, so you have a mixed herd of disbudded and horned goats? Have you had any problems with that? I current have horned goats with one baby polled goats and I worry I will have future issues with the polled one.

born w/o horns he fought with the other bucks but never got hurt if that is what you were talking about. them goats HAVE HARD HEADS.WE WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH SOME OF OUR goats getting head hung in fence i found one of mine chocked to death if you will look at picture of black and white one that i already posted i put a piece of hard plastic pipe across her horns and used plastic ties works fine.heres a picture of our pyreneese she's got 2 more sisters runing around in the other pastures' they love coyotes lol were swamped with theme things at night around here. ive yapped enough goo to talk to all of you good people. thanks Eddie

Wow great pic's Eddie beautiful goats. They look very healthy and I love seeing that. Some people get goats and essentially forget about them, in turn they get wormy and skinny. I've never had problems with the horns in the fencing, I have a no climb "give" fence. I don't know if that helps them stay out of it or if I just have't had the issue come up YET. Your dog is very pretty, its probably hard keeping her clean in the winter. I would love to have some pyreneese but I have an old lab that needs to pass away first, he is pretty agressive towards animals. Thanks again!

this one is regestered fullblood [muzzi jemma]5yrs old. shes the result from artifical breeding. we have to bottle feed her goatlings her teats are size of a cow;but it is very well worth it. she weighs about 160 lbs. ps. loves closeups

Some terminology:

A baby male goat is called a buckling.

A baby female is a doeling.

Together they're called kids.

An adult female is a doe.

An adult male is a buck.

While many meat goat producers seems to have embraced the terms "Billy" and "Nanny", most serious breeders, especially in dairy goat circles, prefer to use the terms
"Buck and "Doe". Billy and Nanny are considered derogatory terms, insulting, or used by those without much sophistication regarding modern goat husbandry.

WE have been raising goats 35 years and i was raised around them being called billy and nanny I still catch myself calling them that sometime. old habits are hard to break
it's not no big deal to me. a goat is a goat dairy or meat.
