Need help posting pictures to forums

I cannot figure out how to post pictures on the forums. My pictures are on disk. I opened an account at photobucket, but how do you get it to the message area? I don't have a clue when it comes to computers. If you could help me through it, with baby steps. I would appreciate it so much!

Under your picture on photobucket you will see lines of code. Click on the one labeled 'HTML code'. You will see a brief pop up saying 'copied'. Go to your message on gardenweb and right click on where you want the picture to appear and select 'Paste' from the drop down menu. You can paste more than one picture if you want. When you preview your message the pictures will show up.

Go to the front page of any of the forums and scroll down to the very bottom. There, you will see three clickable sites: technical problems, letters and comments, and mailing list. Click on technical problems, then select your category. State your problems and send it in.

OK, folks, sorry for all the pics, I should probably be doing this in the test section. Anyway, I believe this would be the best way to post a forum pic: a clickable thumbnail. Below is step by step instructions on how to make one: 1. Log into your Photobucket account Select the image that you would like to generate HTML for by checking the radio box below the thumbnail image (ex.: th_2qn12pz.jpg). 3. Click on the 'Generate HTML and IMG code' button at the bottom of your album. 4. Copy the "HTML clickable thumbnail for ebay, Livejournal,Myspace, etc." code 5 paste the code to your Forum message and it will come out like below: ...now click the above thumbnail for the large picture. (Iknow for you folks who have been around here for awhile, you have probably seen and anwered this question a thousand times. My appologies! Hope this helps you bumblers like myself who are just trying to learn this stuff...

I was going to suggest DeGroot's Spire, which is an arborvitae. I planted six in the orchard as an allee'. I began planting them in 2008, they are suppose to reach a height of 10' and several are about that now and all stay fairly "skinny". I had a deer come through one year tho and must have rubbed antlers against one, breaking down one side. It re-grew rather quickly but has an odd shape now. I very happy with them, they grow fast, seem healthy still, have a deep green/sometimes blueish cast, and stay smaller in diameter than other arborvitae. The one drawback - they are costly, at least when I was buying mine. I could only afford one or two a year.

Hey there! There are always other options available! In fact, too many! I think subway tile is a good idea. If you want to add some color, a very subtle sage/green would be nice with the browns. Otherwise, I'd probably go with a cream-colored subway.

If you could help me through it, with baby steps.

I am going to assume you are comfortable with opening and having more than one tab open. If you are not, just say so. I discovered a member at the Test Forum was having one heck of a time with the instructions, because she had never had more than one tab (or window) open at a time. Once she master tabs she was soon posting pics.

1...just type your message,...or in this case a reply to this post, changing the Subject of Posting line by one character.
2...open Photobucket in another tab
3...find the pic you want to post in the message,
4...click on HTML code found in the third box below the pic. It will say copied in yellow,
5...go back and paste the HTML in your message box,
6...hit preview,
You will then see your message, and the actual pic,
and
7... lastly hit submit.

Stop on by the Test Forum Gallery. There are 'regulars' there that will help until you get good at it.

In reading bunny6's message, I gather she has an account with Photobucket, but her pictures are on her disk and have not been uploaded to her account.

If she comes back here to look for replies, we can start there with telling her how to upload them.

Hi Sue! Thanks everyone for your help. I think part of my problem is that I have an old computer. My computer is so old that I have windows 95. I have had this computer forever it seems. It never breaks. I am going to try all of you guys suggestions. This can't be that hard as I am making it.

I found it hard to get them uploaded to P-bucket and then to post them for the first time. I can remember I felt empowered once I finally got one pic posted. If I can do it, anyone can do it, with enough instructions.
