When you set it up, might you have put a minimum price in, in addition to the buy it now price? That'd do it. Click on "Revise Your Listing" and go through it all closely to see what might indicate the ability to bid. Of course, if anyone has bid on it already you can't revise.

If you can't figure it out you can always revise your listing and have the bidding price the same as BIN. I've seen that on some auctions, but never could figure out why someone would list it that way.

I cannot see anywhere on there where you can just do Buy It Now or Best Offer. Those aren't even an option when I go to "revise".

Maybe you have to have a eBay store to have only BIN? There is a good message board on eBay.. you could ask your question there.

Angela, are you going through the whole listing process? If so, you'll come to the section where you originally set the price. I believe there's a Buy It Now tab, but I'm not 100% certain about that. In any case, eBay makes the listing process very user-friendly, and if you go through it slowly you should see all your pricing options. You can then configure it the way you want.

Well according to Ebay help that option should be under "Choose How You Sell Your Item" but unless I am totally blind, I am not seeing that option anywhere. I went to "Add or Remove Options" under the above option and that was not very helpful either.

Ebay is generally very user friendly. I have never had any problems listing items but I have never tried to do this.

How close is your starting bid from the BIN price? If it's close, you might want to just leave the listing alone and see what happens.

Thanks everyone for your help. I went to online chat and I had to end the listing and start over. So now it is the way I want it.

Just set it at 1 penny under the buy it now price and they won't bid. If you want $10 for you item start the bidding at $9.99 then they will buy it or not.
