We have Schaub bin pulls in the kitchen and I find them quite comfortable to use. We got the large ones which are wide enough for four fingers even with my DH's larger hands. They are solid brass with a very nice feel. Some bin pulls are made from stamped metal with a rolled edge and they don't feel nice to me. The edge is too thin. I don't notice any twisting of the wrist when I use them. For me it is as comfortable as coming down from the top. We have 3 grandchildren in the kitchen and I haven't found that they get any crud in them. If the kids are opening drawers with dirty hands, then the stuff in the drawers is like to be dirtied by them. Amerock also makes a solid brass bin pull with a very nice feel. It isn't as large but it's a nice size and a much lower price than the Schaub pulls. I've never tried to use my foot to open the kitchen drawers, but I have the Amerock pulls on the drawers in a little printer stand that my DH made for me. It holds the printer/copier/fax under my work surface so it is close at hand but doesn't take up space on the work surface. Since I'm usually bare foot in the house and sitting in my desk chair when I use the printer, I sometimes use my toes to open the paper drawer. This was the first time that I've actually kept any of the RH catalogs. Some of them I ditched right away w/o even flipping through them. I kept the Small Spaces catalog because it isn't so dark and I kept the Tableware catalog because of the colors. I may buy some of the table linens. I really liked the Grand Brassiere Entertaining Collection and the Vintage Hotel Silver Collection. I will say that I liked having separate catalogs for Tableware and 'Objects of Curiousity' (Peterman's voice was in my head as I read " These genuine millstone artifacts spent their years grinding corn...." pretentious). Sometimes I just want to see what's available and not have to scan a whole page trying to figure out what accessories are for sale, which ones aren't and then try to find the price somewhere. Never fails I always want what's not for sale Lol!

update - I bought the CL hutch, but decided to use it in my foyer. Across from the hutch, I have my antique Irish pine baking table w/a scalloped apron, which better complements the CL hutch than my current one. Also, the CL hutch is huge, and I think its mass will work better in my foyer, which has 13 ft ceilings. Definitely need to paint it, and I'm thinking Farrow and Ball off black. I'm not sure if I'm going to stain the backboards a darker color or paint them black. I really need to figure out what to put on the shelves though, and was thinking maybe some ironstone pitchers, which I like to collect. I was hoping to display my green milk glass cake platters and bowls, but I don't think that will work in the foyer. The hutch I now have in my foyer (shown in the photo w/chairs) will be in my dining room for now. It's much less narrow, so won't overlap much, if at all, with the table. It doesn't have a buffet surface but does seem to work well with the chairs, and I can display ironstone on the shelves. jane - I ended up going with the Hubbardton Forge 8-arm oval chandelier in dark smoke finish and with the stone (opaque) glass. I have the clear glass in the HF chandy in my foyer and think it might make this fixture more "country" than the stone, but was afraid the light might be too harsh over a dining table. Also, I'd like to display ironstone in my hutch, and thought the stone glass would complement that. jamaraz - I think you could definitely make this table work with more formal chairs, and believe the website actually shows it paired with either the camelback or similar chairs. Your chandy sounds lovely. I was so wanting a french wire birdcage type chandy, but DH preferred the forged iron one we ended up deciding on. It does work better with other furnishings and lighting in our house.

I will update this again. After my inexpensive builder recommended cup pulls failed to arrive (perpetually back ordered), I became desperate to get hardware ASAP. There is a RH store nearby, and luckily they were having their F&F sale again. So, I cleared out their stock (all 8 pulls lol) and ordered the rest from the store. They arrived at my house in two days. Oh.my.goodness. They are gorgeous on my cabinets! Absolutely gorgeous! They haven't all been installed yet, but the ones that are there are amazing. Soon i will have pics to share. I love when things just work themselves out. I will be smiling about these pulls and knobs for a long time. I have no idea what is wrong with me- how can cabinet hardware make me this giddy?!? Lol.
