I think white marble on a kitchen floor may be asking for trouble. Perhaps a high quality porcelain would mimic the look.
You may want to look at Marmoleum and see what can be done with a marbleized look. They have all sorts of choices.

It's not true marble, but a marble looking ceramic tile. There wasn't room to put all that in the subject and I figured anyone with a marble look would open the post.

I've been looking at the Finished Kitchen Blog and acomom's kitchen has cabinets about the same color as mine will be, and tile that is kind of tan stone colored, and it looks good. I'd still like to see what other people put with light colored floors. Seems like wood and darker stones are so popular right now that that is all I can find.

[carmudgeon mode on] do you really want tile under your feet in kitchen? You will note another thread where the response to the new house's floor was "get rid of it" from someone with experience on hard floor, I assume.

At age 63, I am unable to stand on a floor like that for more than a few minutes. At age 25, I would have hastened the problems that have put me in this condition if I had had a hard floor kitchen. The realities of having feet and legs need as much consideration in a good design as satisfaction to the eyes.

Marti8a- What about a light colored vinyl? My mom has a light cream with gray streaks (it's kind of a marble color) and it looks great with her wood cabinets. She also has beautiful leaf green walls, but that might not work for everyone :)

I do know it goes great with her faux black granite (laminate) and her silver toned knobs and pulls. Do you have a picture of your cabinets?

I think a gold-tone marble look would be ok with the cabinets, but would really have to see a picture in different lights to be sure.

However, I do have to second the tile on the floor. I am so happy to be getting rid of the tile floor here (actually it's been gone for about 4 weeks now - HOORAY) - and now has beautiful cherry like the rest of the house.

The tile WAS very hard and hurt my feet and back (I'm "only" 40) and I had to wear comfy shoes all the time (as most of my time is spent in the kitchen) - this is unusual b/ca we are a non-shoe household and I grew up not wearing shoes in the house.

I don't know about marble, but I have an off-white tile floor and it was a big mistake, not the tile itself, but the off-white color. It's hell to keep clean and always looks dirty. I'd either go with a darker color tile or wood.

Don't do marble floors in the kitchen. I have them in the bathroom and they are horribly cold, stain easily and are slippery as heck.
