You have way too much going on with all of the different door styles, colors, and patterns.I like the more decorative doorstyle, but not with the different colors and the patterned floor. Pick one door style and stick with it. If you want to keep the floor pattern, minimize the rest by choosing the plain quartersawn oak only and maybe a color on the island. However, none of the suggested colors is strong enough to stand up to the slate. They all fade into it. I think you are on the right track with a green, but something like a William Morris strong green would be more appropriate.

I'm no design person, but I'm not sure about the door style planned for above the MW. It doesn't look as nice as the elongated glass one below it, so if its on a short upper cabinet, I think I would choose to go with the door of the base cabinets above the mw rather than have something compete with the glass doors that really should be the the focus.

I think I prefer the chestnut color to tone down the orange undertone that seems more prominent in the pecan. I think the mixed color floor will be nicer with your perimeter cabinet choice whereas the gorgeous grey slate will be very cool toned against the warmth of the wood tone. With that floor, I would then go with the sea grass or harbor mist island (see grass seems best, but I would hesitate to commit to green, but since you love it....).

But again I will reiterate that my preferences are based on my instinct rather than on any design expertise. It's a nice space. Good Luck!

GreenDesigns, all do the cabinets (save maybe the island) will be the same pecan or chestnut stain--they just only have the pictures of the whole doors in certain colors. Does that make a difference, or do you still think having the uppers with the Trinity doors will still be too busy even if it's the same color throughout?

I would consider using the glass doors around the sink but I don't know that I would do this style on the upper throughout in solid and glass doors.

Visually, the solid door with this design is "heavier" than the Mission/Shaker lower door, which I think is going to make the uppers look top heavy.

You could consider using the mission door everywhere and the Trinity door on the lowers of the sink run and the glass version on the uppers. Or the Mission doors everywhere with the trinity doors on the lower part of the "hutch" piece. But I would probably keep the highly detailed door on the lower AND in a specific location rather than throughout.
