Look at how much they cost and it's easy to see why she's specifying them for every drawer. I wouldn't, couldn't ever see myself paying that much for "pegboard". Sorry, just an honest opinion.

Is there something similar that's cheaper that you'd recommend instead? What's attractive to us about these is that they let you use all the space in the drawer (whereas when we've bought inexpensive inserts they never quite fit right), and the dividers go all the way down, so you don't have things sliding between (as we do with our current utensil insert - knives slide under a bit).

Those pegboard things are totally unnecessary if you have soft close slides and use a nonslip drawer liner.

Hunh - maybe I didn't explain well. The idea of the pegboard is to be able to put in dividers to split the drawer into parts - e.g. like a cutlery drawer.

(Oh, I think I understand your comment now - you're thinking of the pegs that can go in for stacking plates - that makes sense - but not how I was planning to use them. I was planning to use the dividers rather than the pegs)

78 smackeroos for 2 sq. ft. of pegboard? That's not useful in my world! Even at half that price....OK 1/4 that price, I would find another way.

I would only put them in a few drawers initially. Later, if you find you could use more drawers with that kind of divider, it seems you could retro-fit the drawers.

I was planning on adding dividers to my dish drawer later, but used non-skid mats as a temporary solution and have had no problems, so I will just leave things as they are. My drawers are 30" wide and 11" deep.

I had also looked at the Ikea plate dividers but decided their sizes would be too restrictive and at about $10 each times 6 stacks, they would be almost as expensive as the Hafele.

Oh, I get it know! Do you plan on changing the positions of the dividers frequently? If you're the type to put them where you'd like them and leave them there, there other much less expensive options available.

Perhaps you should get the pegboards in a few strategic drawers where you anticipate needing flexibility and leave them off of the others.

I understand what you're saying, but because there are so many options available these days, I just think that cost vs. product ie peg board is worth thinking twice about. Paulines and Kompy are two KD in the forum that I know of and I'm sure there are others who may know. I'd pose the question to their attention as well as "others" and see what their feedback is.
