Our sink is 30x17x10 or 30x18x10 in a 36" sink base cab. We don't have a GD so can't help you there, but as far as all the rest, we have plenty of room for storage underneath. We have cab manuf-supplied pull-outs under the sink--one behind each door, rather than one large one. The pull-out on the right side is shallower (f to b) than the one on the left--this is the side with the pipes/plumbing stuff. I store some things back there as well as in the pull-out, incl a LARGE bottle of Palmolive dishsoap hooked up to soap dispenser with the Never-MT kit/tubing.

I have the Franke GNX11028. It's 28x20x11 and is in a 36" base cab.

There's more than enough room underneath for the disposal. This sink has the drain hole over on the right back corner so the disposal is in the back of the cab.

I have about 20" below the sink. The disposal is about 6 inches from the bottom of the cab, but being over on the right back corner, it leaves plenty of room.

Mine isn't that big, but my cabinet isn't that wide, either.

You will have room for the disposal. Depending on what size disposal, you might not be able to keep anything UNDER the disposal, but you'll have plenty of room to the side.

My sink is only 9.5" deep (and integrated--if you undermount yours it'll be even deeper by that much) by 31.5" wide by 17.25". The cabinet is just a smidge (interior size) wider. The sink was made based on the width of the cabinet and the length of my arms. :P

Anyway, you'll have space for storage as well as disposal. I also have a filter and hot water tank under mine, and although my cabinet is 30" deep instead of 24", I can assure you you're FINE. I have a pullout/shallow drawer/roll-out shelf thingy in the base of my cabinet which helps a lot. (I had to draw on it where the disposal and tank were so I wouldn't put things where they'd be knocked over...)

Isn't it funny how so often during a reno that -- once you think you might have made a bad decision -- it's so easy to work yourself into a temporary panic? Maybe I should just speak for myself here. :) I've worked myself into fits a number of times already, and we're not even done yet!

We used a 33 inch sink cabinet base.

Yes, tons of room for everything and then some. I would
take a picture but my house is a disaster. I should be
cleaning it, but it is more fun to hang out on GW.
No worries, right now I have a large giant bottle of
bleach, two huge costco boxes of dish machine detergent
tablets, 6 bottles of Palmolive, 3 bottles of windex,
endless candles tossed under there, lysol, 3 bottle of
granite cleaner, 2 Monster bottles of alcohol (rubbing to
make my own granite cleaner), sponges, sponges and a few
more sponges, three packages of yellow playtex gloves,
at least 3 glasses vases from mother's day flowers,
dust rags, stainless steel cleaner, barkeepers powder cans
(I think 2 ) bug spray, a screw driver or two, an old
paint brush, maybe some dust mites...
Oh and I forgot the Gargantuan Garbage Disposal in the
largest size they make because I refuse to deal with
it breaking down.

Oh dear after re reading my list of junk, I think I should
be on the Hoarders show.

That's exactly what we have -- 33" in a 36" cabinet. We opted not to get a new GD right now but have the capability. I have a dish pan and dish drainer on one side because the drain is on right side. I think regardless of where the drain is, the space you will have on either side will be more than adequate for the typical things one would store under the sink. I don't have a picture but I can take one if you want it. Just know that it's huge under there. I have a pullout that is about 21" deep to allow for the pipes in the back. It feels spacious.

We have the Blanco super single (32 x 18.75 x 8.5) in a 33" cabinet. There is plenty of space underneath. We even have a GFCI box under there, a RO unit, an instant hot tank, and a huge jug of soap (never MT) and honestly there's still tons and tons of space.

Not all disposals are the same size. Make sure that you read teh installation instructions for the one you want, as there is a certain amount of clearance UNDER the disposal required that is not the same with every model, even within a brand. I went through several combos of disposers and flanges with my Shaw, and ended up with the GD having just enough clearance by a hair. If I had been able to get the original disposer to work with the flange, it would not have fit in the vertical space under the sink.

Also, what you fit under there otherwise depends on how the plumbing is run.

I would caution you against too deep of a sink --- depending on your height it can be a REAL back-ache.

I will add that I love, love, love my single bowl SS sink -- single bowl is the way to go.

I have a Blanco Silgranite sink, 33 x 19.5 x 10 inches, mounted in a 36'' cabinet. However, my cabinet is 4'' taller than standard. I have tons of storage space, and my GC said I would have plenty of room for a disposal, which I declined because of my septic system.

There are 2 tilt-outs on top. A shelf on the left holds my Never-M-T soap bottle, and a Rev-a-Shelf pullout on the right holds tons of cleaning supplies. There's also room for my cleaning bucket, fire extinguisher, and a lot of other stuff.

My single bowl sink is 30" x 18" x 9" in a 30" base cabinet with a garbage disposal. Plenty of room leftover.

Dear boxerpups, what sink do you have?

Is that 30 inches in the interior or exterior?

I'm going to have a 33" sink base, and looking for the largest sink I could put in there (undermount stainless, I should add).
